Always (Joshaya fan fic )

Chapter 1

I sit in the car with Mckenzie laying on my shoulder while she sleeps. I start to shake her,"Kenzie,were almost at the school." I tell her. I shake her furiously and she sits up. Her eyes fix on me and sticks her tongue out. "I just want to sleep, Riley." She tells me while stretching. "Mrs. Matthews, tell your daughter that she's being  overly dramatic about school."  My mom looked at me there her rear view mirror and smiled. "Actually I think that it's good she's taking school serious. Are you taking it serious Mckenzie?" My mom asked.

  Mckenzie stays quiet then we pull up in the parking lot of our school. "Hey look were here!" Mckenzie says and pulls me out of the car and into the school.

Well I got myself out of that, Mrs. Matthews always makes things hard for me. We enter into the high school building. Wow I didn't expect to feel this weird...and nervous. "You always try to avoid that question." Riley says, as we walk to our lockers. "Well she shouldn't ask it if I never answer." I said. We get to our locker and I put my book and book bag in my locker. I looked over to Riley as she looked at her self in her little mirror. She fixed her hair and put more lip gloss on. "Watcha doing?" I ask her. She jerks her head at me and puts the lip gloss away. "My lipgloss was coming off so I put more on." She lied, it's obvious.

"You had lip gloss on this morning and now you took off your lip gloss, put beach lipstick on then you put the lipgloss back on."

"What's wrong with that?" She starts to get nervous.

"Who are you trying to impress?" I ask her. I close my locker and lean on it. She smiles and squeals. Some people look at her. "Do you remember that cute guy in high school from last year?" She ask me. "There was a lot of them honey." I say. She gives me a pouty face.

"I mean Thomas. We talked a little but he was in high school then. He failed the ninth grade and now he's going to be in our class!"

She starts to sweat and I comfort her. "Well the the bright side is you two can date." I said. Wow I'm bad at this. "But what if he just wants to be friends. What if he got a girlfriend during the summer." She started to panic and slammed her head on the locker. She's got it bad. (-_-)

"Why don't you just talk to him?"

"Yea because I'm just going to walk over to him when he's not even here."

I roll my eyes and spin Riley around to see Thomas talking with his friends. She almost falls and I help her stand straight. Thomas looks at her and I swear I think his eyes got bigger when he saw Riley. So adorable. He says bye to his friends and walked over in our direction. "I'm dead." Riley mumbles.

"Hey Riley. Were in the same class huh?" He says. Don't say something stupid, please don't! I'm begging you! She clears her throat and a smile stretches across her face. "Heey dude! It's been forever. Did you get taller? I think you did because I know I didn't. We should hang out later. What do you think? Yes? No? Maybe? Ah! What the heck! Don't even answer. Of course we'll hang out..." Riley continued to talk and Thomas looked at me and laughed and a nice smile came to his face.

Riley kept talking and Thomas stopped her my grabbing her hand and putting his hand over her mouth. " wanna to to the bowling alley?" He asked. Riley started to blush and nodded her head furiously. He smiled and walked into one of the class rooms.

Riley faced me and her face was bright red. "How did that happen?!" She shouts. "You acted like yourself and he somehow thought that was cute." I explain.

"Am I going on a date with him?"

"I think that's what it's called pumpkin."

She jumps up and down and hugs me tight. I hug her back and we enter our home room.

We got to pick our seats so Riley and I sit in the front. The teacher announces a school dance this Friday.

"Why so early?" I ask Riley.

She shrugs her shoulders.
