Mistaken

Chapter 1

'I will see you soon, I promise. You'll be a good girl now won't you?' my mom asked.
'Don't worry about me mom, I'll be fine. I just worry about you,' I looked at her and tried to blink away the tears. My mom was going away; she was going on a business trip to New York while I would be away at college in California.
I gave her one last hug. As our arms untwined she planted a slight kiss on my cheek. Then made her way to the car.
She turned to look at me, smiled, and then waved goodbye. Then she was gone.
As I watched her old blue, Lexus leave the end of the street, I went back inside the house. I just went to go and pack my things for college, when a knock was at the door. They knocked again, and again and, again. I ran down the stairs so that I could stop that irritating sound.

'What!?' I asked as I opened the door.
'Is that a way to treat your guest?'
I pushed to the side and let out my arm as to greet him, in.
'Get the fuck in the house." I stated firmly.
Adien walked in, and I closed the door right behind him.
'So do you need a ride or what?'
'Yeah I do just let me get my things," I ran back up the stairs to get my things and when I came down the stairs I was carrying 3 suitcases. And Adien was just watching. Like I was a show. In my head I was thinking, 'are you gonna' help or what dipstick?' But I didn't say it because it would hurt his little feelings. He opened the door and closed it once he was the last one out.

I put my stuff in the back of his trunk and sat shotgun. He finally got in after me and said,
'College, we're gonna' kick your ass!'
