Something She Wanted.

Chapter 1

Elena's point of view

I woke up drenched in sweat I dreamt of him again his piercing green eyes slashed right through me just like every night. I pushed my blankets off of me and slowly headed towards the bathroom almost tripping on a pile of dirty clothes that have been sitting there for weeks, I walked into the bathroom and looked at my pale face it looked as if I just saw a ghost. My long hair was tangled and knotted I rubbed my eyes and licked my dry chapped lips, and looked at the clock to see what time it was,

7:40

"Shit I'm gonna be late."

I immediately turned on the shower and took all of my clothes off, feeling the cold air surround me as the hairs on the back of my neck stood. I opened the shower curtain and stepped into the steaming shower I was swallowed almost, by the warm water pouring all over my body. I stood there for awhile staring ahead at the blank white wall, not doing anything but enjoying the heat of the shower, I snapped out of my trance when I heard a knock on the door.

"Elena!!!! Daddy said I need to come get you, breakfast is ready!!!"

My sister said, I could hear her little feet start to walk out of my room as she began to giggle, I washed my hair and my body and slowly turned the shower head off not wanting to get out. I slowly stepped onto the rug and felt the cold collapse around me once again, I felt the water drip down my legs as I reached for a towel wrapping it around my body. I walked over to the mirror and wiped the steam away with my hand and looked at myself, long eyelashes, thick eyebrows, plump lips, and brown eyes. My long dark coppery hair color looked even darker now that it was drenched, I didn't have any freckles but one single "beauty mark" above my lip. I walked into my bedroom and opened my drawers looking for something to wear I grabbed a gray hoodie and some black skinny jeans. I struggled to find a bra and underwear I dug through my sock drawer and finally found one, I dropped my towel and clipped my bra onto my chest and adjusted the straps. I followed with putting my underwear on and looking in the mirror, my body was slim but with some curves I looked in my closet and grabbed the first shirt I saw a bland beige color. I slipped it onto my body following with my hoodie and my pants, I grabbed a pair of socks and almost fell over slipping them onto my feet. I walked into my bathroom and plugged my hair dryer in and began to dry my long locks which was a ten to fifteen minute process. I ran my fingers through my wet hair attempting to get the tangles out which didn't do anything I could feel my hair getting dry as the water drained away from it in a matter of minuets. I unplugged my hair dryer from the outlet, but I didn't put it away I needed to get downstairs quickly before I missed the bus, I looked at my phone.

Today was a late start so I had a few minutes before I needed to leave the house, I grabbed my mascara and gradually applied five to six coats on my lashes making them longer than before. I closed my mascara tube and concealed my pimples with foundation, and I finished with filling in my eyebrows , when I was done I examined my face in the mirror and smiled.

"Perfect"

I looked at my phone.

I rushed into my bathroom and grabbed my tooth brush and the toothpaste I unrolled the cap and dropped it in the sink I put an adequate amount of toothpaste on my toothbrush, but I needed to hurry I brushed my teeth as fast as I could feeling the overpowering mint that was bringing tears to my eyes. When I was finished I spat my excess toothpaste out and rinsed my mouth with the faucet water I walked back into my room and grabbed my phone and my earbuds. I reached for my backpack and ran down the stairs.

"Good morning sweetie"

My mom and dad said in unison as my sister ran up to me and hugged my legs.

"Sissy you look so pretty today"

She smiled her front tooth missing.

I chuckled a little.

"PRETTY UGLY!!"

My brother said as he grabbed his toy figurine of Superman.

I rolled my eyes a kneeled down and gave my sister a kiss on her head and grabbed a muffin from the counter.

"I have to go or else I'm gonna miss the bus"

I smiled at my mom and looked at my brother.

"Jordan put the toy away your eating"

He deliberately put superman in his pocket and I glanced at my sister before opening the door.

"Have a nice first day of school Lily"

Her face lit up and she nodded, I walked outside and closed the door behind me only to see my bus picking up kids at my stop. I began sprinting towards the bus , stomping in puddles of water I held my hand up and waved at the bus driver , he nodded at me and opened the bus doors, I walked onto the bus almost out of breathe the bus stop was a good five minutes away but it took me one minute to get there because I ran as fast as I could. I sat down on the first seat I saw and started picking at my muffin nibbling at the edges, I looked out my window as I felt my phone vibrate in my hand it was from Nathan.

Good morning beautiful.

I smiled and texted back.

Good morning can't wait to see you at school.

The bus stopped and I peered out the window wiping away the fog... At the moment I swear I saw him his green eyes slashing through me just like in my dream his sly smile drew me to him I heard a scream followed by a laugh from the kids on my bus I jumped startled by the sound. I looked at my phone to see a new message from an unknown number.

Now you know I'm real.

I felt a chill go down my spine as I looked out the window, but he was no longer there. The only thing I saw was the passing of buildings one after another.
