"Well, John I don't think your niece will need anymore antibiotics than we've already given her so you don't have to worry about the bill for the medicine and your insurance will cover her other expenses since you're her legal guardian."
"Thank you, money is a little tight these days." he said.
"Now to my favorite patient!" Dr. Philips said.
I wonder how many times he's used that line today.
After a couple minutes of inspection Dr. Philips looked as if he was satisfied with what he saw and walked out. The second he left the room, my uncle was all ready acting critical.
"Did you seriously put the IV back in your arm?" He asked.
"Seriously? I don't even know how to put an IV in!" I argued.
"Okay whatever, but we've got to get out of here." He said.
Just then the door opened and Dr. Philips came in.
"I couldn't help but over hear your conversation and I'm sorry, but Destiny can't go home until tomorrow and I'm going to have to put that IV back in. I thought I told you that?" He said.
"Move out of my way now or you're not going to have any teeth for that big smile of yours, got it?" Uncle John said.
"Excuse me, but don't you think that kind of behavior is a little inappropriate for a hospital?" He responded.
"Listen here you, I'm-"
Between their arguing and the annoying itch the weirdly placed IV was causing me, I noticed something I'd never seen a doctor where before. There was a pin on he's white coat that read SRA.
"Dr. Philips, what does your pin stand for?" I asked.
The second I said that I realized I had said something stupid. If that was a clue that we needed to figure out why the doctors here were trying to kill me, I totally ruined it.
"This, my favorite patient, stands for Shader Removal Agency. You're a Shader and now I'm going to... remove you."
Before I knew it Dr. Philips was running towards my hospital bed trying to choke me. I couldn't breathe, what little breath I had was now slowly seeping from my lungs, I could feel my neck bruising, and my throat burning. I could feel the pressure building up in my head from the lack of oxygen. With each struggle against Dr. Philips' grasp, he only grew stronger and more hateful. I could see the determination and the hatred in his eyes. Out of nowhere, Dr. Philips was lifted off of me and thrown into the nearest wall. Then it was my turn to be lifted up and flung over my hero's shoulder except I didn't get thrown into a wall. Through my coughing I realized that it was my uncle that had just saved my life. As my uncle ran through the hospital with me on his back like a potato sack I would try and warn him that people were following him, but he would always outrun them with ease. We finally got to the door, but it wouldn't open. Uncle John rammed the door, but it wouldn't open.
"Uncle John, why won't it open?" I asked.
"Let's see, maybe because it's locked?" he asked sarcastically.
"I mean why is it locked?"
"Oh, I don't know, they're probably trying to keep us from escaping!"
"Was that sarcasm? I think that was sarcasm!" I said still slung over his back.
"Alright that's enough." He said as he put me down, "Now help me with the door."
"I wouldn't do that if I were you." a voice said from behind us.
