In a world where a good mating and power is everything... Only the strong will survive Leto has been passed over the two mating cycles since she has been able to attend The Gathering. Now she has her elders breathing down her neck and her families honor resting on her shoulders. Leto is determined to make her way in the world. When The Gathering is hijacked by a mysterious man by the name of Erebus, Leto's world shifts on it's axis. He says he's come for a mate and he won't be leaving without one. Much to Leto's dismay he chooses her for the task, a task she isn't quite sure she wants but it's not like he has given her much of a choice. Leto is thrown into a world that might destroy the very fabric of everything she believes to be true about herself and everyone else. Erebus' wants to use Leto to elevate his Tribe, which was thought to be 'dead'. The problem is Erebus' isn't the only one moving pieces on the chessboard and Leto might be the only one who can save them from the insidious force moving around in the shadows...
