Saitama wasn't someone who you'd expect yourself to be with at all. In fact, if you went back in time to tell your past self that you'd have some slight fancy in a bald middle-aged man once you hit adulthood, teenage-you would've laughed in your face. Scratch that, the teenage-you would've scoffed, and rolled on the floor, tears in her eyes all the while laughing like she'd heard the most hilarious joke in the world. That's just how you were after all.

Outside of your thoughts, it was almost Christmas now, and you had gotten Saitama his present, and had planted it under the tree - cute wrapping and all - and they say that when you do a good deed, you'd feel a lot warmer in heart and mind. But right now, you were cold. Well, not cold, but chilly.

Same dig.

Your toes curled in their fluffy winter socks (which were cute penguins, because hell yeah you're going to celebrate Christmas to its full) and you hummed as you watched TV, snuggling into your blanket which you'd gotten from Genos for Christmas. He didn't bother wrapping it, so why not use it now? Besides, it was warm - the only warmth right now.

"[Name]-chan! I'm home! Genos, too." You shuddered in response, too cold to say hello back to Saitama and Genos.  "[Name]?"  Saitama's bald head popped up into your vision, and you blinked tiredly, staring at him for a moment with you [e/c] eyes.

  "H-Hi."

  ".. Hello. Are you okay?"

A soft hum left your lips, and he leaned back as if in thought. "Okay. Scoot." "Huh?" And then all of a sudden you were squashed into the coach, your back pressed lightly against the comfy pillow, as Saitama laid on his side, holding his head onto his hand as you both shared gazes. "If you were cold, you could've said so." He dead-panned, and you pouted. "Didn't want to bother you." He side-eyed you, "[Name], you could never 'bother' me."

Okay- wow - calm down, heart.

Saitama's arm laced around your waist, as he was now within your personal space completely. Not that you minded, because he was warmer than this blanket that draped around you. "[Name]?" Your eyes closed and opened slowly as you fought to stay awake. "Hm?" A small, ghost of a smile rested on Saitama's lips. Your forehead was kissed so, so lightly by his lips that it didn't even feel like the moment between you two existed at all.

"Ah." A blush spread onto your cheeks, Saitama chuckled at the timid reaction."[Name]. Go to sleep. I'll still be here when you wake up."  You wiggled your nose, and curled up against him.

  "Promise?"

  "Promise."

"Keep me close, okay? I don't want you to fall off again.."

Saitama's nose touched with your own, as your eyelashes fluttered and you fell asleep in your lover's arms. In full and utter content. Being within his warmth like this truly made you feel like everything was going to be okay. "I will. Now sleep already, you stubborn punk." You rolled your eyes, and snuggled close to him.

That - That as long as Saitama held you like this.. Like a fragile human made of glass, that being able to see tomorrow wouldn't be so bad. That everything you'd ever been afraid of melted away into dust. All your hopes and dreams felt so close. While your mistakes were too far away.

If life stopped so suddenly, just as it did whenever Saitama was around, then being alive wouldn't be too hard. Coping with stress and monsters doesn't seem too hard. As long as he is here with you.

With him.

With your bald hero.
