Our Fated String

The red string of fate

The next day I woke up to the sound of my family laughing.

When I came out my sister, Ashley told me to come look at our

family old photos. " Juliette this is you when you were small you

were so cute and chubby back then!" My mom said in a loud

voice. I was irritated on how my mom always teased us like the

time that I got lost at the store. Mom told all her friends about it.

Soon I left out of the house to go to school. As I walked passed an

alley, an old lady came up to me and asked me, " Would you be

interested in your love life?" I turned around to look at her and

said to her that I wouldn't be interested. However she kept trying

to talk to me about my love. So I just gave up and listened to her

obediently. The old lady took me to her run down place on the

end of the alley and told me to sit. Then out of nowhere she asked

for my age and my favorite things. After awhile the lady stopped

and started to speak. " Do you know about the myth of the red

string of fate?" She asked in a spiritually way. I replied back no

since I've pratically never even heard of it. Again she spoke saying

" It is a myth where the gods have strings and tie it around the

fingers of the two people who are meant for eachother. It is also

said that it can never be broken even if it stretches or get's

tangled. I was interested in the time being until she stated that it

was fifty dollars with a sraightface. " What fifty dollars are you

kidding me!" I paused for a moment to think of an excuse and

remembered I had to go to school or I was gonna be late for ."Ahh,
umm I have to go now lady or else I'm going to be

late, bye!" I yelled running away. " What, but I was just getting to

the good part by saying that her fated one was very close nearby

and it was going to change her life drastically- oh well, hee hee I

got her wallet anyways when she dropped it while running." The

old lady said cunningly.
