"Hurry up! You take forever!" You yell, half laughing, at your best friend Robbie.

"Alright, alright! Hold on!" He yells back, fussing with his stuff.

You and him are getting out of his car. You're about to spend a day in downtown Chicago. The streets are crazy, but you're excited.

Robbie finally grabs his stuff and starts walking with you.

"Where should we go first?" You ask, flyer in hand.

"I'm starving. We should go to Hard Rock Cafe."

"Ooo! Yeah!" You're getting more excited by the minute.

You walk past streets and buildings, fascinated by the skyscrapers. All you can do is look up at them. But, as you look up, you notice some clouds coming in.

"Robbie, I think it's gonna rain."

"It's only a few clouds, I think we'll be okay." He says, looking up with you.

"Alright."

"Look! There it is!" He says, pointing to the restaurant. It has a huge guitar on the front of it.

You go inside and order your food. After waiting about an hour for it, you eat it and finish.

"Alright, where's the bill?" You ask, taking out your wallet.

"No, I've got it." Robbie says.

"Are you sure 'cause.."

"No, it's fine. Plus you're gonna need your money to go shopping."

"Haha, alright. Are you sure? We could split it."

"No. It's my treat."

He pays the bill and you both walk outside.

"You should of let me-" You pause.

"What?"

"It's drizzling."

"C'mon. Let's just keep going."

You go back to the car and head to the stores. You shop in a few, Robbie insisting to pay a couple of times.

Then, it really starts to rain. Your car is a whiles a way, and there are no taxis to be seen.

"Ugh, it's freezing." You shutter, and your teeth start to chatter. You're soaking wet.

"Uh...here." Robbie says.

Suddenly his hands wrap around you and you feel his jacket come with it.

"Thanks." You say, feeling hot in the cheeks.

You love the feel of the jacket around you. Warmth courses through your veins. You breathe in. Yep, it has Robbie's scent on it. You snuggle up in it. He looks at you and smiles. You smile back.

He takes your hands and stops you. You look up at him, confused. He pushes back your wet hair.

"Y/N, I..I've been wanting to do something for a long time. I've just been too scared."

"Huh-"

He takes your face in his hands and your lips collide. Right there. In the pouring rain. In the middle of the sidewalk. In downtown Chicago.

You put your hands in his hair. He doesn't let go. You feel people's stares. You don't mind.

Finally, you both pull away.

"I...uh..." He scratches his neck awkwardly.

You take his hand. Intertwine it with yours. He holds your hand tightly, sending chills up your spine and giving you that warm feeling in your heart. He puts butterflies in your stomach.

You keep walking, not minding the rain anymore.
