After stumbling for what seemed like hours, there were no signs of any cities or towns. The sun has already set, and let's just say, you were more than ready to find somewhere to sleep. Not just that, you haven't eaten in hours!

'I don't think I'm getting anywhere'

Sitting down at a stump of a tree, you settled down, entering the world of dreams.

I open my eyes to see myself standing on a sharp cliff side. Looking down, I see a giant murky rayless fissure.

No, it wasn't like a fissure, it was more like a abyss that the most unfortunate would plunge down in. This hazardous gash in the ground floor seemed that it could cause the most disastrous deaths and the last breaths to the deadliest of enemies. A catastrophe that many could survive but wouldn't make it because of their severe wounds they got from their careless precautions. Corpses would be scattered all around the floor with their jaws open from letting out their bloodcurdling screams as they plummet to the bottom of this dusk chasm.

This chasm was no ordinary chasm indeed.

Panicking, I did the first thing that would come to anyone in this situation.

Step back.

Going with my first instinct, I step back.

my body wouldn't move.

'Are you kidding me? I can't even move my own body?'

Panic turning into horror as I try to step back again. And once again, my body doesn't move.

'Why won't it move? this is ridiculous!'

Questioning why my body isn't listening to what I wanted it to do, my legs started to move. Many thoughts rush to my head in matter of seconds.

'Why am I moving?! I shouldn't be moving forwards! I should be going the opposite way! Is...is someone controlling my body? This doesn't make any sense.'

Watching pebbles from the crumbling ground below me fall deep into the abyss. As the floor collapses below me, I feel my heavy body turn light like a feather, then feel like someone threw a box at me.

'Did I just...? DID I JUST FALL!!??
...Well, that's it! I'm going to die!'

I wanted to let out a scream, or at least a shriek for help but my body refused to. Shutting my eyes instead, preparing for the impact of my skin hitting the damp ground.

I hear a very soothing sound, like a wolf howl but, more humanly. Forcing my eyes open to see the owner of the howl, I find a shadow of a giant beast of some sort jump into the abyss with me.

'Is..it going to saving me?'

Feeling fur of the creature that jumped hit my back, I let out a breath.

After grabbing me, the creature attached his paws to the wall of the fissure and sprinted up the rocky wall.

Reaching the top, the creature let me on the floor gently, making sure not to hurt me.

Letting out a breath of relief, I turn to my savior to say thank you to be met with air instead.

'Wow, it was here one second ago, I hope I see it again.'

Nodding on my thought l laid down on the grassy terrain. Exhausted from the turn of events, I fell asleep.
