I took a deep breath as I escaped the alarming laboratory. I ran far into the woods, and found shelter before the scavengers caught me. I clicked on my flash light as the Trackr buzzed on my wrist. I held it to my eye, scanning and unlocking the wrist banded device. A holographic image appeared in the light. There stood Professor Chloe in the appearance. The woman was pixelated in blue.

" Success! You have completed this stage with a mark of 98%. Root for a higher mark in your next mission. You are highly qualified to survive a night in the testing dome, where we will consider your safety. You are responsible for finding your own food, a shelter, etc. If you seem to fail this test, the next week will be your last at Robobits Laboratory and school. Stay safe! "

The hologram disappeared after the blink of my eyes, as my hand dropped to my side. I sniff up the smell of spruce trees and decomposing leaves. As I run deeper into the woods, the night falls dark. I scan around a thick and healthy tree, as I scoop up the moist soil. Suitable. The breeze roughly brushes past, as I walk to collect a load of logs, tall ones. About half an hour later, I achieve in creating my own tepee. Inside, it has a controlled fire with lavender in its embers. The scent burns slightly. It reminds me of home, the smell of my dorm. I burned out the fire, and laid down in the bed of fallen leaves.

Everything went silent, until the whistle of the wind kicked in. Several hours later, I had woken up from the buzz of my SynciFriend. I held it to my tired face.

" What did you contact me for? " I said.
" Ellie, your hygiene and hunger levels are increasing!!! Meaning that you need to find somethi- "
" Okay, " I whispered in a bothersome tone, "In the morning, I'll do it. I still need my time to re-charge. Remember? 8 or more hours of sleep."
I clicked off the SynciFriend and tossed it into my beaver-skinned backpack. I shut my eyes, trying to sleep once again, but something had stopped me. I heard it again. Wolves? Bears? Maybe a deer I could hunt. I peeked through a mistaken gap that I shouldn't have made. Whatever it was, it probably would not be able to see me. I waited for a couple of seconds, until they jumped out with a bow and arrow, aiming right at me.

I gasped as I grabbed out my pocket knife. They scoffed.
" Hey. Show yourself! "
I slowly moved out, cautiously and sighed until I was relieved that I knew who the heck they were.
" Carol? " I dropped my weapon and smiled.

My Trackr beeped as I accepted the requested hologram.

" This is Professor Chloe. I see that you have found a fellow ally. You will encounter 5 more if you put effort into finding a group of survivors. In this programmed test, we do not intend on separating you from your classmates. However, you lose marks for leaving all the work to the other. You have 2 more days, and will be given your next mission in 4 hours. Connect to your SynciFriend to view the statistics of your body and what you are currently lacking on. Stay safe! "

Carol tossed a gun to me, a supply of rope, two knives and a bow + arrow. We sneaked to a runaway deer as she pressured me to kill it. I hesitated, then concentrated on my target. I shot its neck, as I regretfully walked over to the poor animal. Carol pouted but began to cut open the raw creature. I gagged and looked away as I tied my black leather boots. As I turned over to Carol, she was feasting on the raw flesh of the deer. I rolled my eyes and got up, refusing her disgusting offer.

The herbs caught my eye as I saw behind it. A LAKE! I rushed over as I saw some shellfish and salmon. Carol stood behind me chewing on the meat.

" Watch this. " She picked up a twig and threw it into the water. The weird thing is that it dissolved inside the water. She pulled of a jagged leaf from a tree and dipped it carefully in the water, bringing it to my face. The leaf was slowly turning to ashes until she dropped it to the ground and stomped on it. She looked up and threw away the bone that she ate off of.

" How about the fish inside the lake? "
" Those are holographic. "
" Are they trying to kill us??! "

" The fish...? "

" Noooo! The programmers, the professors? "

" NO, they are testing out our cautions and logistics. "

Sooner, I cooked the deer leg and bit into the juicy meat. I twisted open my half full thermos and sipped a little bit of the hot water. Carol had her own items, I'm sure that she will end this test with 110%. We moved out, in search for our classmates. Soon enough, we found Jarred and Katia. Jarred, he's a smarty-pants, he balances everything out and finds solutions to almost everything. Katia, she is a kill joy. She is also a visual thinker like me, she is the artist and would be the leader of the pack. But, Carol is already the Alpha. These two stuck together like bread and butter. Honestly, Jarred is so open minded that he does not realize that Katia uses him as a minion sometimes. But, that is not any of my business anyways...c

Our Trackr's switched on as we held the device in front of us.

" Congratulations! You have successfully passed Stage 2. Welcome, to the third stage... We are going to test your hunting skills. There are weapons lying around you, right now. They are hidden, you must find them and use them. 71 animals are roaming around the arena, where you will root to kill as much as you need for the night, and possibly tomorrow. This stage is assigned for every individual, and we ask to not keep in touch with your classmates until the mission is finished in 3 hours. Good luck. "

Authors Note: Hi there! I am so sorry that things breeze by so quickly. I do my best to satisfy you all with these un-carefully plotted stories. I am truly sorry that I suck at being a good author, and also that I suck at generating captivating ideas. But please, enjoy! I do this for fun because I have a great amount of spare time. Plus, it is the weekend after all. I like to practice my writing skills.
