Though she has been a very good friend, she had strange quirks now and then. They seemed little at first but slowly grew into habits then into obsessions. Till one day we could have it no more and call her into a psychiatrist to see what had happened to our once beloved friend. The first thing he had said, before even introducing ourselves, was that our friend looked as if struck by an illness. Though she had been sick the week before we had though nothing of it as it was a simple cold that would come and go as the seasons. We thought nothing of it so we told him and without a word he walked over to his desk and pulled out a small slip of paper and handed it to us. We slowly opened the paper to see that it had a recommendation of another doctor in another state. At that time it was peculiar that the psychiatrist had sent us to see a a different doctor.  why had the doctor sent us away, when he should have the solution?

We had finally arrived at the new doctor weeks after we had left the psychiatrist only to find that he was not a doctor in the sense that she would heal people of their wounds but that of a degree. A degree in grammar.  At first we would confused why we had been sent here but soon after regular visits we had found out why, our friend had been struck by some disease that had taken away her grammar skills which had explained why her speech had been so fragmented and slurred. She both did not know how to use grammar nor how to form sentences. We finally found out why she had not been able to speak at all but now the only thing left is how we could rid her of this new found illness. After speaking to the "doctor" we found out that she could be cured but it would take a very long time too do so and would need to be kept to on a daily basics or it would not work as intended. we had left shortly after that to start working on getting our friend back to herself.

During the way back we had started getting her back into her grammatical self, and this was by making her do preschool ABC workbooks and slowly working up. This is more annoying for us then to her because now we would have to act as a teacher now before she could be herself again. Apparently this would take 13 years to complete we did not question but went along with it as if it was the norm. But at the time we forgot to mention one little detail that would have made it been so much easier on ourselves. We never really cared for grammar, so in turn we would not only be teacher but we would also be the students.

And so we started our long journey of both learning the grammar ourselves and teaching our once beloved friend to be herself again. We knew it would be a long one but we would realize how long it would actually be until we were so far in that we had no way out, but in.
