"Give me the phone, Cameron!" I yelled to my son who was holding his phone away from me.

"Why? Why me? Take Natalie's! She's the one talking on it all day!" Cameron argued. "Shut up!" Natalie snarled to him.

"You two, enough! Natalie, go upstairs." I said to my daughter. "Give me the phone Cameron," I said softly. He handed it over and stomped upstairs, then slammed the door.

I went to my bedroom and put Cameron's phone in the dresser. I slipped on my shorts and t-shirt and lay in bed. A moment later my phone went off to an unknown number.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Gabby?" I'd recognize that voice anywhere. Norman.

"Yeah, hey Norman." I whispered out.

"Everything alright?" He asked very concerned. He was good like that.

"Yes, it's fine." I tried to cover up the stress in my voice.

"I'm not stupid, Gabby,"

"Who said you were?" I heard him laugh on the other side.

"I don't work tomorrow. Is it possible for me to stop by?"

"Yes! Of course. My door is always open for you." I could hear Derek calling out my name.

"I have to go, alright. See you tomorrow." I hung up the phone before Norman got a chance to said goodbye.

Locking up my phone I went out to greet my husband. "Hi," Derek said pulling at his tie.

"Hello," I gave him a small smile. "How was your day?" He asked.

"It was alright. I took Cameron's phone and he is not pleased." Derek just nodded. "He's a teenager." "But, that's still not an excuse to argue with me and disrespect me."

Derek sighed, "Gabriella, let's just have one evening of peace and quiet." Derek grabbed his bag and walked to his study where he could spend more hours working.

At dinner, Cameron didn't speak, and Natalie kept talking. "Dad, there's a dance this week. Is it possible for me to go? All my friends are going." Natalie gave that puppy dog face to Derek and he brushed it off.

"No, I can't pick you up. Unless your mom can, then yes." Natalie squealed and looked to me.

"You can go sweetie." Natalie stood up and screamed before running upstairs to what I assumed would be to tell her friends.

"I'm going to bed," Cameron said as he stood. Derek was working on his iPad.

"Can you please put that away?" I asked. "Can't, gotta have the chart and stats finished tonight." He said eating.

"Derek, I'm serious." I warned him. He never wanted to talk with me. Sure, we had our sweet moments, but in the evening, it was like I was invisible to him.

"Derek!" I yelled. "For fucks sake, Gabby, what?" He yelled. There was no point in talking to him. "Never mind." I went to our room and got in bed.

I couldn't wait for tomorrow to get here so I could see Norman.
