I stand in front of the mirror looking at myself up and down. I wore a short black dress with a laced back. I've had it for ages and never worn it. Never needed to. I have slightly more make up on than usual but don't make myself look like a cake and my hair has simply been straightened as I never really want to bother with my hair. It never listens to me so I've given up. I nod satisfied. It's good enough.

I head down stairs and wait for the others to arrive. Hazel and Paige were meant to come over and we would have a totally cliqued girl get ready but we decided to just get ready separately at last minute. Soon enough the door bell goes. I shout a bye to my dad and Ollie who know I'm going but couldn't care less because.. I'm not sure why actually. He trusts me I guess.

I open the door and I'm greeted by Levi and Reese. Levi wears a massive smile and raises his eyebrows as he sees me. "You dress up good, gurl" He comments as we walk towards Reese's car. We I got in the back and sat next to Hazel who was sat in the middle next to Paige.

"You did well by yourself." She comments. I raise my eyebrows.

"Well excuse me, I can do this sort of thing" I defend.

"Yeah, well we all said and took bets on you turning up in sweats" Reese chirps in from the drivers seat.

"I so wouldn't do that" I lie.

I so, totally would.

"It's fine, Maddie, it shows confidence" Paige contributes now. I sigh and give up. There is literally no point in arguing with these guys. The car soon went silent though this peace doesn't last long. It nicer does with Levi about.

"Twinkle, twinkle little star" He starts to sing. We all just look at each other but let him get on with it. He does. He knows all verses apparently. I can't help but wonder of he is already drunk. He probably is. There is never an in between with Levi with anything. I guess alcohol is the same. This Nursery rhyme sing-a-song lasts all the way to the party. It was being held Jerry's house. Jerry was the schools 'cool kid'. He had all the party's and set the trends. He was just the 'cool kid'. I mean even the name Jerry is cool.

We all get out the car and walk into the party in tow. Levi walks with his arm around Paige. Give it 5 minutes and there faces will be morphed. Hazel walks next to me and Reese leads us to the door. Giving it a little push it opens leading us into a open space full of hot, sweaty, horny teenagers.

Fun.

I look at Hazel who smiles and grabs my wrist before I can leave. She lead me to the kitchen and grabs two beers. She hands my one. I shake my head.

"Come of Maddie, we already had a driver" She pleads. I stand to my original answer. "Come on live a little"

"No, how the hell is human embarrassment fun" I ask.

"Because no one cares" She answers back and takes a swig out of hers. Then instead of waiting for my answer she shoved the bottle in my hand walks off. Great I have officially been ditched. Levi and Paige will be in a deep make-out by now, Hazel has just walked off and Reese has just walked off as well. Meh. I might as well drink. It's all I have right now. I stand awkwardly in the kitchen drinking the beer. I take the final swig out of the bottle and head to the dance floor. I settle in the middle somewhere in the mess of bodies. I begin to sway my hips and listen to the beat of the music. Closing my eyes, I realise it's quite nice actually, to zone out and just not not have a care in the world.

Soon enough, hands are rested on my hips and the hands owners, hips sway in sync with mine. I freeze and turn around to put a face to this stranger. Turns out wasn't so much a stranger. "Seth" I smile. "How drunk are you, dude"
