I sat at a desk in study hall, trying to figure out these god forsaken math equations.
Feeling frustrated I leaned my head back while taking a deep breath and running my hands through my hair.
Alright Jessie, you still have two whole days until the weekend where you will study for science. Peter will be home in exactly three weeks, if you can survive three weeks without hearing very much from him you can survive these crappy math equations.
"Hey, you alright?"
I jumped as the strange voice broke me from my thoughts as I turned around in my chair.
"Yeah I'm fine, I'm just trying to get through these equations before my next class." I replied with a slight smile.
He nodded, I now managed to get a good look at him after that adrenaline burst.
He was about average height, fit, not exactly muscular, but healthy looking, and probably the dictionary definition of a hipster.
Big Ray-Bans glasses, a multi-colored beanie that started as a dark red around the rim of the beanie and slowly faded to pink on the end.
He had a large messenger bag that was brown and grey faux leather, and several armbands that belonged to various fandoms, a hipster with a side of nerd/geek, oh, and let's not forget the 'Attack On Titan' jacket with 'The Walking Dead" T-shirt.
"Ooohh, you're brave, it's too early for math." He laughed.
"It's almost one-thirty in the afternoon." I replied sarcastically.
"It's always too early for math."
"I'm Jessie by the way." I stated holding my hand out for him to shake.
"Aidan, nice to meet you." He grinned. "You did say it was almost 1:30 right?" He asked.
I nodded, before the realization hit me; and I started shoving all of my textbooks in my bag.
"Ah crap! I have biology next." I grumbled through gritted teeth.
Aidan laughed, "Well I have biology too so I'll run there with ya."
I slung my bag over my shoulder and we made full sprint to class, cackling like elementary students the whole way there.
We slammed into the seats that were left while people stared at us as if we were insane, some of us had too much to study; ya freaks.
After class I grabbed a coffee to keep myself awake, being up until one in the morning just studying just feels like dying.
I sat down in the cafeteria to drink my coffee, fighting the urge to down it all in one swift swig, but my tongue says that's a bad idea since the coffee is freshly hot.
I pull out my math textbooks again and start to study again, maybe with a new dose of caffeine I can get stuff done.
"Wow, you really like to study don't ya?" The now familiar voice of sarcasm chipped up next to me.
"No, I hate studying, but I really don't want to fail any of my classes though." I replied taking a sip of my coffee.
"Ah, so what's your major gonna be?"
"I'm gonna be a veterinarian, and have a minor in business so I can open my own clinic at some point." I replied.
"Nice, but shouldn't you be in vet school?" He asked.
"Well I need to get all of my biomedical and sciences done first, then it's vet school." I grinned.
"Woah, you really must want that job, my head would explode after all of that." He grinned.
I laughed, "So what's your major gonna be?" I asked.
"I plan on doing something with animation, but I would really love to do something with voice acting, it'll be nice to get to know all the people who play the voice behind my favorite characters."
"That's nice." I grinned.
He checked his phone and adjusted his bag, "I gotta go, see you tomorrow?"
"I guess, if you have physics and chemistry."
"Well then I'll see you there." He grinned and walked away and through the front doors.
I drove home to find a note on the fridge from my parents;
Hey Jessie -
Your mother and I went out to the fair with the Davis' feel free to come and join us when you get back from classes.
- Dad
I swung my keys around my finger and hopped back into my car and drove to the fair.
Today is a nice day after all, why waste it inside while studying my butt off?
