"Ah music, the same reason why I was the one sent here..." I sighed.

"Hahaha. To make the long story short, because of the task given to me, I'll be sticking to you like a gum on your sole for the whole night..." he grinned at me teasingly. I can't believe that he still remembers the line that I've said when I was introduced to them.

"Ha... please don't quote me like that. It's embarrassing." I covered my blushing face with my right hand.

"You're the one who said it before, why are you embarrassed?" he laughed.

"B-because... I was really unstable that day, and I was not thinking straight. anyway, would you just please forget that!" I can feel myself turning beet red that very second.

I don't exactly know why, it may be because of my expression but he started laughing heartily,"By the way, Kagami..."

"Hm?" I looked up to him due to the sudden change in his tone.

"What were you planning before I called out to you?" he was gazing across the room when he asked me this.

"Well, I was planning to sit here and let time pass by." I looked at the seats placed around us.

"Not that. I meant, with the issue of Mrs. Fukuyama. I called out to you because she was about to slap you." His voice was stern but, was not mad.

"I was ready to take on the slap with my left cheek. Unless, I was able to block it or evade it." I assured him.

"Why did you even insult her? You could've just ignored her."

"You were listening?"

"Yes, I was looking for the right time to approach you but, you were already talking to Mrs. Fukuyama."

"She was bad-mouthing dad..." my frowned deepened at remembering the conversation that I had with Mrs. Fukuyama.

"You could've just talked to her."

"Ren-san, there's a difference between being an enduring person and a push-over. I can't let her think that she can just say anything she wants about my Dad. It is obvious that she already made her image of us. Meaning, she's already closed her mind about the issue. No logical or rational reasoning will work on that kind of person. So, I used the kind of talking that will get through to her easily, insults and rumors." I defended my reasoning. The conversation turned from pleasant to sour in an instant.

Ren-san looked at me. I don't know whether he was shocked or something, "You are scary. Remind me to never go on your bad list." He then offered me his arm. We made our way towards a secluded table located in the North West side of the room. As we walk on by, I can feel the people looking at us. It was really an odd feeling but, I didn't feel pressured so much since I'm not the only one being stared at. Their judging eyes didn't mind me as much as before.

"Seiichirou!"Ren-san called out to the group of classy-dressed people while we were approaching. A man with suave, deep orange hair, who was wearing a black and grey suit turned around to us. He looked like Ren-san only a bit more mature and he does look like he means business. Ren-san approached his brother and I unconsciously straightened myself.

"I want to introduce to you Miharu Kagami, daughter by Kenjirou Kagami." Ren-san gestured towards me. "Miharu-san, this is my older brother Seiichirou Jinguji." He then gestured to his brother. Seiichirou-san looked cold at first but, he smiled at me after the introduction.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Jinguji-san." I bowed slightly to him.

"Charmed. Please, call me Seiichirou, it's a bit confusing since Ren and I are both Jinguji." He chuckled.
