After Red read the house rules, she suddenly became nervous and she said,

“The school’s rules are austere. Do I still have to crave for points for class promotion?” Red suddenly got her anxious feeling out of herself, and she built-up self-confidence in her heart.

Red immediately went to the school’s open space and there she found all the gifted students gathering for the program that is about to begin when the clock turns seven. So Red hurried to the front part and she took a seat and sat. She reserved a place for Terson as requested to her. So Red waited for Terson to come. Red waited and waited until she checked on the small clock she brought that it’s already quarter to seven and she’s starting to worry about Terson. But Red still stayed on her chair and she waited for Terson to arrive on the right time.

Minutes have already passed, and Terson has just started eating breakfast. Red checked on her clock, and the clock is ticking to seven. Then, a professor took an amplifying branch. He used it to speak to the students.

“Students and teachers, our program will soon start in five minutes. Thank you.”

Red is becoming worried of Terson, so she rubbed her hands and kept waiting for him. After a couple of seconds, the orientation finally started and Terson has just finished eating. Terson is being slow, and Red is concerned that anyone late for the orientation will not be allowed to enter the program proper and will be given with minus points. Terson finally came and Red waved her hands at him and Terson rushed to her and sat on the chair. Red asked him,

“What took you so long?”

“I’m really slow. I can’t go to meetings on the right time. That’s why I was retained as a first year this year. By the way, how’d you know that I’m a retained student?” Terson asked.

“I knew it from a boy, who’s named Will. He’s a scholar in this school. He doesn’t know how to use a sword or magic but he knows how to use kinetic abilities. Will is a scholar because he is really intelligent. He knows how to explain things, and he knows very foreign and ancient languages. And I don’t know any ancient language, but he does.” Red described Will.

“Scholars, they do know everything in this school.” Terson then asked Red. “Nobles are very intelligent, right?”

“Yeah, we’re all trained to be smart.” responded Red.

“So, could you speak any foreign language?” asked Terson.

“Yes. Listen…’ Red then began speaking a different language. ‘Priktom dee filkoramarara me plinn morgica.”

“I can’t understand anything; could you tell me what it means?” Terson asked.

“Okay, it means that ‘I don’t like magical spells’.” Red answered.

The professor then began the orientation. Red and Terson listened carefully to every instruction that the professor mentioned in the program. The professor mentioned class schedules and the school’s activities and Red wrote important details regarding the professor’s subject. After thirty minutes, the program finally ended and both of them decided on where to go. Terson said,

“Red why don’t we have a walk around the school, it’s not yet time for sword class period right?”

“I don’t know Terson. I still have to go to the botanical gardens for alchemy class.” Red refused Terson’s suggestion.

“Oh, I forgot, you’re a student of alchemy. Go now, before you get late.” Terson said. As Terson remembers something, he immediately exclaimed to Red. “Red, please wait!”
