grand

i don't understand how something so grand
can be so cursed
your stare is something i've been longing for
it's as elusive as your touch
how often do you appreciate yourself?
you'll never marvel at your beauty like i do
you will never see your shine
because it's directly pointed at me
and while your attention is fixed on something else
i take the time to look at your features
i know angels took their time on you
