Sentry (xEngineer)

The Engineer was in a panic to keep his things safe, and they all exploded like fireworks right before his look of surprise and loss.

You giggled, and right on cue, a voice rang out, announcing victory to your team.

You smiled, and turned when suddenly your cloaking device went off. The Engineer turned his head and opened his mouth in surprise.

You were just as surprised, the both of you just stood there in bewilderment, staring at each other with wide eyes.

You gazed in fear, about to run away when the Engineer grabbed your wrist. His grip was so strong!

You struggled, and he kept his grasp.
Giving a kick, you managed to lose his hold and made a mad dash for your team's respawn room.

"Wait!!"

He called out but you didn't turn back to look at him, and you vanished into a cloud of smoke.

You were pretty miserable for the next few days. He saw you! He probably hates you now, after all, you always did mess with his things.

You didn't mess with him anymore, which caused your team mates to suffer the consenquences. Your team had holes burn through them from the sentries, the enemy team was always at full health due to the dispenser and Medic, and they moved around like a hoard of locusts thanks to their teleporter!
(We engineers work hard!! *stifles cries*)

Your co workers kept pestering you.

"Sheila, we need ya to sap those sentries! What's gotten in to ya?"

"Yeah! I'm like a piece of swiss cheese girlie!"

"It isn't like jou to do zhis Fräulein! Is somezhing wrong?"

You snapped back.

"Fine! Fine!! I'll do it! Just get off my case!"

A few days later, your team got ready for battle, slowly warming up in the respawn. You fiddled with your butterfly knife glumly.

"Ow!"

A large cut was on your hand. You were so annoyed you didn't even bother getting a health kit.

3.. 2... 1!!

Running out, your team started attacking the other team. With a sigh, you cloaked yourself and started heading towards the enemy Engineer.

He was working away, tweaking knobs and unloading supplies. You carefully walked around, and sapped a sentry.

You were about to sap his other gadgets he set up. The sun glinted on his goggles, and you just admired how he looked. How hard he would work, how his muscles flexed when he used his wrench, sighing inwardly at your little crush. He got up from his work and turned.

Suddenly he grabbed your wrist.

You gave a small yelp, and instantly you were uncloaked. He gave a small chuckle and lessened his grip on your wrist. Almost as if he didn't want to hurt you..

"Wha..? How did you..??"

He pointed at the ground. Drops of blood were trailing around. You saw your hand and noticed blood spilling out from the cut you accidently made.

He started moving suddenly, and you closed your eyes tightly, waiting for him to kill you.

SGGGGKKKRRRRRRRRTTTTT!!!!

Your hand felt something soft. Opening your eyes, you saw a piece of cloth being wrapped around your cut.

"Wha..?"

The Engineer ripped a part of his sleeve, and tenderly wrapped your hand.

"Ain't right for a lady to have a cut"

Suprised, you just watched him tend to your wound.

"Aren't you going to kill me?"

He stopped, and bit his lip.

"Well.. Ah can't hurt a lil' lady like ya.."

You huffed.

"I am not little!!!"

He laughed heartily, and you blushed furiously.

He finished wrapping your hand, and stood up, his eyes were hidden, but still gazing into yours through those dark goggles.

"So, you're the one who's been messing with mah things"

You softly kicked the ground nervously, and looked looked away.

He chuckled.

"Ah'll let ya go.."

Uh-oh. There was a catch.

"If ya let me get to see ya again"

You looked up in surprise. He had a weak smile on his face, it seemed like he was nervous! Your heart skipped a beat, and you smiled.

"I guess I have no choice then"

He chuckled, when suddenly you heard the cries of your team mates calling you both over for help.

You both looked at each other. The two of you still had a job to do. You nodded at him and he tipped his hard hat with a crooked grin, and you were about to take off.

You suddenly stopped in your tracks and turned around, making the enemy Engineer give a confused look. You took something out from your pocket, and gave it to him, and with a puff of smoke, you disappeared.

He chuckled, and looked at the thing that rested in his palm.

It was the small butterfly knife you had accidently cut yourself with.

He put it in his back pocket, packing his things, getting ready to make a new nest near his base.
