Desperate Draco

Harry woke up panting, drenched in a cold sweat. Bloody nightmares haven't gone away yet. He marched down the steps into the enormous common room, illuminated by yellow, red, blue, and green fires. He sat in a large armchair dead center of the mingling area of eighth years from the four houses.

Draco woke up silently screaming and on the floor. Must have rolled out of bed. He sighed and went down the steps quietly to sit in the large armchair. He almost screamed when he sat on a bony body instead of a comforting cushion.

He pulled the hand off his mouth. "Who do you bloody think you are?"

"Didn't want you to wake up all the eighth years."

Draco's eyes widen and his ears got hot as he realized who he sat on. Correction sitting on.

He quickly scrambled out of the chair and off of Harry. "Sorry."

He hummed in response. "So why are you down here after curfew?"

"I could ask you the same thing."

"Nightmare."

"Same."

"Well... I'll be off to bed now."

Can I Slytherin?

Of course Draco refused to say this out loud.

"I guess I will too." But Draco had no such intentions.

He would like nothing more than to follow the slimy, evil little cockroach who I unfortunately love dearly into his dorm and watch him sleep. Even if his magnificent green eyes weren't visible.

That Weasley girl was right in second year. His eyes are as green as toad spawn.

Draco sighed in defeat as he stomped back up the steps to his dorm.

As soon as Harry laid down, he puffed out a breath he didn't know he was even holding. Malfoy changed after the war, yet so did he.

Harry had become quiet and distant, he paid better attention in class. He even took notes during History of Magic. It was as if he didn't know what to do without someone trying to kill him, or Slytherin goons harassing him.

"Expecto Patronum!" He muttered, and watched as the stag danced above him.

With another long puff of air, he lost focus, so the stag disappeared. He smiled, it almost seemed as if he blew the silvery stag away.

Harry woke up early out of habit. But there were no classes today. Eighth years only had them every other day. He yawned and left the dorm in his pajamas.

He walked through the empty common room and tapped on the back of the tapestry. The special dorms were right across from the Room of Requirement. Instead of replacing the tapestry with a portrait, it was left there.

It rolled up and Harry stepped out, rubbing his eyes. He paced three times and thought, A place to eat and rest. A door appeared and Harry went through, finding a large room with couches and tables.

He walked over and flopped onto a large, velvety couch. He rubbed his temples and muttered, "Dob-... Kreacher."

He heard a loud crack. "How may I assist Master Harry?"

"Would you please bring me a waffle or something?"

"Yessir." There was a loud crack, quickly followed by another. "Here you go Master Harry."

"Thanks, you're dismissed."

Harry took the waffle off the plate, putting the latter on the floor. He started to nibble the waffle as the door burst open. "Harry?"
