Roxy ran through the shadows with amazing speed
"June we are here. Are you ready?" Roxy asked as she slowed down
"Yes, let's go" I answered as I grabbed her fur tighter. Roxy jumped up and suddenly we were behind a tree and the fighting was really loud,
"Jace go to his right side!" a girl yelled on the other side of the tree
"Yeah I got it Dream" a boy yelled back a little further away from the girl. I peeked around the tree to see the back of a black haired girl watching a blonde haired boy run around a huge creature,
"What's that?" I asked Roxy
"That's Tatsuran, a Cyclops" Roxy responded and I looked at Tatsuran wondering why he was here and getting attacked by these humans. The boy, who seemed to be named Jace, drew a sword from his back and slashed Tatsuran's right leg and Tatsuran yelled out in pain, and suddenly his eyes connected with mine.
"Help me, please" a voice rang in my head
"Who are you?" I asked
"Tatsuran" the voice replied. I looked over at the Cyclops whose eyes were filled with fear,
"Why are you here?" I asked Tatsuran
"I'm trying to find food for my family. We are a group of Cyclops who don't attack demigods" Tatsuran replied
"Please I need to go back home" before I could reply back the girl named Dream pulled her bow and arrows out and got ready to release one of her arrows. I looked at Roxy
"I have to help Roxy" I said with urgency and Roxy sighed before tapping the ground in between us,
"Reach into the shadow June" Roxy said
"Why?" I asked
"Just do it!" Roxy shouted
"Okay, I got it" I answered surprise Roxy shouted at me. I reached into the shadow and felt something there
"Grab it" Roxy ordered and so I grabbed onto the object. I pulled out a stick and looked at Roxy confused
"Imagine a weapon and go save Tatsuran. That stick can become any weapon" Roxy explained
"Now go!" Roxy shouted at me as she slipped back into the shadows,
"Well here goes nothing" I said as I stepped out from behind the tree. Just as I looked back at Dream she let go of her bow and let loose the arrow,
"Please work" I whispered as I imagined the stick becoming a bow and arrow. The stick transformed in my hand to a bow and arrow
"Sweet" I whispered and knocked the arrow in and shot it at Dream's arrow. My arrow broke Dream's arrow and saved Tatsuran
"What the heck!?" Dream shouted as she looked for who shot her arrow, and her eyes landed on me.
"Who are you?" Dream asked, anger slipping out with each word,
"That's not important. Now leave Tatsuran alone" I shouted so Jace could hear me as well. Tatsuran kneeled and bowed his head to me and I bowed my head in return,
"Who is Tatsuran?" Jace asked with a confused look on his face from seeing me and Tatsuran
"
The Cyclops you hurt" I responded as I walked over to Tatsuran. Dream and Jace watched as I walked over to Tatsuran's leg,
"Hey don't get too close!" Dream shouted but I ignored her and looked at the gash Jace's sword had left.
"I wish I could help" I whispered to myself
"You can" Roxy's voice filled my head,
"What do you mean?" I asked her
"Put your hand over Tatsuran's wound and picture a warm light that will heal him" Roxy explained; I did as Roxy explained and I pictured a yellow light coming out of my hand. I looked at Tatsuran's wound and it wasn't there
"Thank you" Tatsuran said
"You're welcome Tatsuran" I replied with a smile.
"What do you think you're doing?!" Dream shouted with anger as Tatsuran stood up
"Letting him go" I replied puzzled by why she was so angry,
"You can't do that!" Dream shouted
"And why can't I? Tatsuran was only looking for food. Did he even attack you before you attacked him?!" I shouted back with anger and Dream took a step back with a surprised look on her face.
"Now that you mention it, the Cyclops did seem harmless" Jace said as he stepped forward as if trying to stop things from escalating. I looked at Jace with skeptical eyes when I saw a deer moving behind him,
"Tatsuran I've found you dinner" I said aloud for everyone to hear and made the stick turn into a bow and arrow again. I aimed for the deer and watched Jace's face light up with fear before I let the arrow fly. Dream had also copied my movements but aimed for me instead, which caused Roxy to emerge from the shadows to protect me and Roxy brought back up. The deer went down as soon as my arrow hit it
"There you go Tatsuran" I smiled as I turned back to the Cyclops
"Now go home to your family" I said as Tatsuran bowed and then left to retrieve the dinner. I looked back at Dream and Jace who were surrounded by Hellhounds
"A little much there Roxy" I laughed
"You were in trouble" Roxy barked back unamused,
"You're right. Thank you" I replied before telling Roxy to call back the hounds.
"Who are you?" Jace asked as he walked to Dream keeping an eye on Roxy
"You should introduce yourselves first before asking who I am" I replied watching their movements,
'Ohh right, sorry! I'm Jace and this is my girlfriend Dream" Jace smiled while scratching head in embarrassment, and Dream just glared at me.
"And who are you?" Dream asked
"I'm June and this is Roxy!" I replied
"And what is a little kid doing out in the woods?" Dream asked digging for information
"Oh I was just passing on my way home" I lied, I don't like Dream and I don't want any information getting back to my mom,
"Where do you live?" Dream asked
"How about what you guys are doing here?" I asked getting sick of all the curiosity
"Oh we are in charge of taking care of this forest" Jace answered with a smile.
"Anyway June, what are you doing with a Hellhound and how did you know that Cyclops?" Jace asked
"Oh, Roxy? She just came to me one day and Tatsuran knew Roxy so he came to visit a lot" once again I lied cause it's weird for a human to understand or not be scared of mythical creatures,
"Anyway I should go home now, my parents are probably very worried" I said as I started to walk off
"Why don't we walk you home?" Dream suggested
"Thanks but I'll be ok" I smiled as I took off running for my home.
"June they are following" Roxy said as she ran next to me
"I assumed they would. Let's take the long way home" I smirked and Roxy laughed with joy. Roxy and I twist and turn around the traps laid near our home just waiting for Jace and Dream to give up on their pursuit.
"We are finally home!" I shouted as I stepped into our home
"Thank Hades" Roxy panted as she curled up in our bed,
"Now let's hope those two gave up or got caught in a trap" I sighed out feeling the comfort of our bed
"Yeah" Roxy replied in a sleepy voice.
