FADE IN

INT. BEDROOM - NIGHT.

Dim lights. A somewhat messy room with a few books scattered across the bed.

Aria Bishop, a 17 year old girl with moderately pretty features is sitting on the bed, using her laptop. Like every day, she is working on her replies to the advice column, as Miss SmartyPants which is a very popular feature in the weekly newspaper of the school.

We hear our narrator who reads aloud the e-mail that Aria is checking out on her laptop.

NARRATOR (V/O) : Hey Miss SmartyPants, I don't usually do this sort of stuff but I am really confused right now, So.. here goes nothing..I am a popular athlete and I have been crushing on my best friend since the past one year. I am not really sure if she feels the same. She's pretty, cute, and funny. Once I playfully tried telling her how I feel about her but she simply laughed it off with some sarcastic comment. I really don't wanna lose our friendship by asking her out and am afraid that it's only gonna make things awkward between us. I am really stuck, and have no idea what to do. Please help me out! - Confused Lover boy☺

Aria smiled and typed in a reply, she had received similar stuff before as well.

NARRATOR (V/O): Hey LoverBoy, a year is a pretty long time to have waited and kept your feelings hidden. This shows how deeply you care about her. Surely, the girl is lucky to have someone like you. There's a good chance that she likes you too, but is simply having the same doubts as you are. You never know the strange ways in which a girl's mind works! Go ask her out, but in a charming and humorous way that will knock her off her feet. I have said this before, and I'll say it again- Take the chance, because you never know how perfect something might turn out to be. Good luck! Let me know how things turn out. Miss SmartyPants xx

Aria is shown answering a few more emails before the lights slowly fade out.

EXT. SCHOOL FOOTBALL FIELD -EVENING

The cheer leaders are shouting 'GO LIONS! 'on the platform and performing their routine when their team scores a goal.

The crowd on the bleachers is wild with excitement.

Some are sitting in their seats and clapping, while most of them are seen bouncing up and down, shouting and cheering their hearts out.

The players of Team Lions on the field high five and fist bump each other excitedly. Carson Sumpter, the captain of the team (the one who scored the goal) is seen smiling and waving at someone.

The camera follows his gaze towards a girl on the bleachers.

Alyssa Roberts, a pretty girl with long light brown hair and gray eyes grins back at him and gives him a thumbs-up sign. On her cheek, is a tatoo of a lion which was the team mascot.

The whistle for the half-time goes off.

Daniel Carter, another player of the Lions and a close friend of Carson's, walks towards him and places a hand on his shoulder, thus causing Carson to break off his eye contact with Alyssa and turn around to face Daniel.

DANIEL: Come on dude, I have seen the way you look at her. Now Stop being such a wimp, and go ask her out already.

Carson nods slowly and licks his lips nervously. He turns around once more towards the bleachers and spots Alyssa who was climbing down the stands to get a coke, like many other students who were getting down as well.

All of a sudden his face brightens up when his eyes fall on some student's sharpie lying idly on one of the seats. He runs towards the stands, without a word, leaving a very confused Daniel behind him.
