Nicole.
I run quickly to the change rooms and get changed into my football uniform. I run out of the change room and onto the field to see that the coach isn't there and some of the girls are kicking the ball around and shooting some goals on the goalie. Some of my friends from the team wave me over and I jog up to them.

"Hey guys. Where's coach?" I ask them and they shrug, saying that they don't know. I shrug my shoulders as well as the four of us pass the ball back and forth to each other down the field taking practice shots on Makenzie, our goalie.

We had waited about half an hour before the coach had finally showed up, our time spent playing little games and chatting. Coach had looked stressed as he told us to run our normal drills and then we could play a game for the last hour, which really didn't bother us because we were already playing one before he had come.

We did our dribbling and passing drills, then continued on with our shooting and throw-in ones, practicing our signals for the throw ins. We continued one with our drills for the next half hour before we finally split into two teams, being the ones that we were one before.

Being the co-captain, I went to the front of the line and stood in front of Amy, the captain of the team. I had to admit, she was a bit of a bitch when she wanted to be, but she was a great captain. She always figured out the best plays and got on well with the team while it was practice and game time, but during school hours... not so much.

Amy had won the coin toss, so I stepped back and let her have the ball. She immediately passed to Stacy, the left wing and she dribbled down the field passing to Courntey the right wing. Nikki, one of the mid-fielders from our team snagged the ball from her and she passed to Liegha and she passed to me. When I had gotten the ball, I dribbled down the field up to the goal and faked a shot before passing to Anne and her scoring.

We continued playing for an hour Amys team winning 5-4. We were down by one goal, but we mainly ended up all joking around by the end of the game. Normally we get tired of playing a serious game during practice, so we just goof off, but when it's game day, we're serious as hell and have our game faces on.

We all rush to the showers, well actually, we were racing to see who would get there first. We have this bet on Fridays, whoever gets to the showers last has to pay for pizza. We normally have a pizza day where we all go out after practice, and today was that day. I just hope that I won't be the last one there.

I race to the change rooms and trip on a rock, and when I get there, everyone is already showering... Meaning that I came in last and am paying for the pizza. Stupid rock.

I strip myself of my clothes and head to one of the empty showers. Our locker room is big enough for twenty showers, one for each member of the team. I wind up in the very last one, being it the only empty one. It takes me about ten minutes to shower and then I'm wrapping myself in a towel. One around my body, and the other in my hair.

Quickly I dry myself off and get changed into my clothes. My natural black skinny jeans and flannel. No one knows why I dress like that, I mean, we're in L.A for crying out loud so it's always hot. I guess it's just because it's what I'm comfortable in.

After getting dressed I toss my clothes in my bag and get out my makeup. I then head over to the sinks and stand in front of the mirror looking at myself. I had grey-blue eyes, a tan complexion (mainly because of where we live) and light brown hair, oh, and I have a lip ring.

I dig through my makeup bag until I find what I needed. I pull out my eyeliner and start to line my eyes with the black liquid. After I finish that I put a lick layer on my lower lash lines and put on two coats of mascara. I like my makeup dark. After doing my eye makeup I put on some light pink lipstick... It's kind of hard when you have a metal ring in the way but I managed, I always do.

Finally after finishing my makeup I take the towel off my head and brush my hair, sweeping my bangs to the side like always. Knowing that my hair is now dry I put on a purple beanie and head back to the main area of the change rooms. Everyone's all done getting ready and we head out to get our pizza.

-

We arrived at our normal eat out and the waitress came to take our orders. Everyone got coke and we ordered two large pepperoni pizza with extra cheese. We love our cheese.

We chatted about a party that was coming up. Everyone was going but me. I was going to stay home with Emily and hopefully finish my song. They started calling me lame and a bore, eventually I agreed but that I was only going for a couple of hours. They happily nodded in agreement and then we got our pizza.

The moment the pizzas hit the table we started fighting for the pieces. I managed to get two pieces, but the one had all the cheese and pepperoni taken off of it. I pouted slightly but ate it anyways, occasionally taking a sip of my coke.

Emily sat there staring at me and managed to snag a piece off of Stacy's plate. I nudged her shoulder slightly and she just giggled. Stacy carried on eating, not noticing that a slice had been taken off her plate. Emily always does this for me when I get a shitty slice.

We finished off our pizzas and drinks and I left thirty dollars on the table to pay for our meal. This place is cheap, but is amazing! Everyone headed off in different directions and Emily and I headed off to our house.

When we reached our house we could hear the yelling already so we quickly ran down to my room and locked the door. Emily sat down on my bed and I seen the tears starting to fall from her eyes.

I sat down beside her and wrapped her in my arms. She snuffled and leaned into my arms more.

"Sometimes I feel like going up to them and reminding them that we're still here. Then I remember that I'm just a scar and bruise and that I brought them this pain. They weren't like this before I was born. They loved each other and then their love started fading out." Emily said sadly and I held her tighter saying that this was not her fault. I then got an idea and grabbed my song book.

Emily watched as I scribbled down some words and then I let her read them.

Wrote it down on the walls
She was screaming it out
Made it clear, she's still here
Are you listening now?

Just a ghost in the halls
Feeling empty
They're vacant now.

All the battles, all the wars
All the times that you've fought
She's the scar, she's the bruising
She's the pain that you've brought

There was love
There was life
Like a light, and it's fading out.

She smiled sadly while reading but continued on until the end. When she handed me the book bag she hugged me tightly and told me that it's really good. I smiled back her and hugged her tightly.

"Come on. Let's go to park." I said and she got up off my bed. I grabbed my guitar from its stand and quietly headed back upstairs, Emily following behind me.
