World Within

The sun shines brightly

I thought i would see

How the birds sang so sweetly

Yet so haunting to me

I reached for the quilt

To cover up my scars

I dont want people to see

Who i really are

I'm selfish beyond words

Never really cared for others

I love it when they are around me though

They dont care about my true colours

I push away the ones i love

So that they couldnt see

The ugly truth behind my smiles

The lies that root so deep

I speak without thinking

For who cares what i say

To everyone out there

Their own lives is what they'll save

I live in a world within

I've built the walls so tall

No one can cross the deadly waters

No one can rescue me from this fall

I am now who i chose to be

I never wanted more than to just be free

Yet laugh or cry or feel what you feel

This life is mine, my world within

Another one of my sad moments in life while creating a beautiful piece of poem :)

I kinda cried over this one and it is very true to my heart, so no bad comments? pleas? lol
