Sirens Song (Luke Hemmings fanfic)

Chapter One

The first time I heard her voice, was the day I found my secret hiding place. My secret spot was the place she got away from everything. I used it like that too. I would be lying if I said I wasn't mostly going there to see her. Our hiding spot was inside an old mountain by the ocean. There was a tunnel that lead down to a cave, and that's where we hid from the world. The cave wasn't huge but it wasn't small. It was medium. There was a big pound of ocean water in the middle that I believe leads to the ocean. She always sat behind a wall of rock. I sat on the other side of it. I never pushed her to come out. Her voice lead me here. Her voice filled my thoughts a lot. I find myself thinking about her. I wonder tons of things about her. Like what do her eyes look like. We have been friends for about a month now. Now I sit in Michael's garage getting ready for band practice with her running through my head.

"Hello, Earth to Luke" Calum said waving his hand in front of my face.

"Sorry, what?"I asked trying to focus on the boys. I need to get her voice out of my head.

"C'mon Luke, you've been like this for weeks what is it"Calum said. Michael and Ashton stood there to waiting for an answer.

"Nothing" I said shrugging. My life has been the same since I graduated. The band performed at gigs every now and then to get ready for tour.

"It is something, you have been acting funny theses past weeks, you keep zoning out, and sneaking off" Calum said giving me a stern glare. I look at Michael, and Ashton to find them giving me the same look.

"It's nothing, & I haven't been sneaking off" I said. Just because I'm not always hanging out with them doesn't mean I'm sneaking off. Well I don't tell them where I go when I say I have plans and all. They don't need to know where I go 24/7 they're not my parents.

"Luke!! See there you go again zoning out" Calum said crossing his arms across his chest.

"I'm sorry, I just get caught up thinking" I said.

"What do you keep thinking about?" Ashton asked confused.

"Music" I answered shrugging my shoulders.

"Focus on our music, we are never going to get big if you keep acting like this" Calum said sighing.

"I love you" I said looking up at him laughing.

"Shut up you dork" he said pushing me. We all shared a laugh and then started band practice.

~ after band practice ~

I packed up my guitar, as the boys talked about what they should go do. Thoughts about her ran through my head. She's calling me.

"Hey Luke, do you want to come to the movies with us?" Ashton asked.

"I want to see a horror film" Michael said.

"Nah, I'll pass" I said shrugging, throwing my guitar over my shoulder.

"If its cuz he might see a horror film, we can go see something else" Calum said.

"No, it's fine I'm just not in the mood" I said shrugging again.

"Oh" Calum said awkwardly.

"Well, bye" I said leaving walking down Michael's driveway.

"Bye" They said, then went back to talking about the movies. First song played through my head. I slightly hummed along. Her name was Siren. I haven't got to see what she looks like. She's very shy. I don't know why. I bet she's beautiful. I quietly hum as I walked into the forest heading to my secret place. I move the rock in front of the tunnel and walk down to the cave. The closer I got to the cave the louder her singing got.

"Hello" I said as I sat down against the wall of the cave looking into the water.

"Hi Luke" She said in her adorable voice. She was an amazing person. I just wish I could see her.

"Hey Siren?" I asked an unsure voice. I bit my lip looking down at my hands.

"Yeah Luke?" She questioned. I love the way she said my name. Would she get mad if I asked to see her? I guess I'll find out.

"Can I see you?" I asked biting harder on my lip. I slowly play with my hands as I waited for her to respond.

"Luke..." She said in a unsure voice.

"Siren, please, I won't stop being your friend no matter what you look like, we have been friends for almost a month now" I said sighing.

"Luke, I'm not normal" she said in a sad tone.

"I'm not normal either, please Siren, just let me see you" I said.

"Luke, I'm scared" she said. She always told me how she felt. She told me all her insecurities, and fears. I hated that I was scaring her.

"It's nothing to worry about, I know you more than anyone, please trust me" I said. I heard Siren sigh. I hated the wall of rock that separated us. The next thing I heard was a splash in the water. I move forward, and I went on my knees in front of the water.

"Siren?" I asked looking into the water. She came up from the water. Her skin was as white as snow her eyes were green with little hints of yellow. Her eyes are big and mesmerizing. Her face was round. Her lips were big and a light shade of pink. She had long dark red hair that went down to the middle of her back she had a top that look like a sports bra made of light blue scales. Everything about her was beautiful. The only weird part about her was that she was a mermaid.
