It all started when I was walking home. Oddly enough I was barefooted and was going in the opposite direction my house stood standing, abandoned and silent. It was dark out and no cars seemed to be passing by so I decided to walk in the street. I wasn't as stupid though, I walked in the middle where I couldn't have been hit. Being tall and Slender gave me several advantages, as for my friend, she was short and well . . . chubby. We talked a few times after school ended, but not many. Funny thing is, I was roaming on the street that led to her house. I only had to go down the high way and then turn right where a dirt road was, if you kept going strait and turned left there was the drive way. It led further into the woods and the house always looked as if a mob had tried to attack it, but had little success. Once I put in my ear buds and turned up the music harshly more than half of the volume could get, I saw what looked to be a light. I thought that a car was going to pass by, but as I reached the edge of the road, the light became brighter. Was daylight striking already? I looked at the time, but it was just past mid-night, fourteen minutes to be exact. The glowing white light continued to increase; it started to hurt my eyes. I covered them with my hood, but it penetrated through the fabric. I froze; it's as if I couldn't move a muscle in my body. I could feel my body collapse as everything became dark.
