Sam and Jake used the staff again to try to turn the painting back to normal but when they did their dad put the words "you're next!" In red on the center of the painting. Sam dropped the staff, then it cracked and their dad's body came back and so did their dad. Their dad was back to them, and then Sam and Jake each got half of the time power. When they reached the age of 18 both of them would get full powers until then it would be too hard to cast big "time spells" just by themselves. When they are 18 if they cast a time spell it will freeze time eternally.
There are lots and lots of things that Sam and Jake had to do now that they were the "keepers" of time. Until they give their power to their kids they will have all of their powers. There are many things that they now have to take care of and they think that they are ready.
