Chapter 1- Moon Light.

Moon light.
Looking up from my window at the moon thinking about how beautiful it looks tonight. I remembered my mom, the person i miss the most. I wonder if she was here would things be different? Would I be different?

My mom died 5 years ago, when i was 14. She died by the hands of another alpha, she died protecting her people, her daughter, her pack. My mom's death affected me in every possible way but not only me, me and my dad.
After mom's death all i could think about was how she died and how am i gonna take revenge. My dad? He drifted apart from everybody even me and all he cares about now is work. But i know deep down he still cares, he's still the good man that i grew up with, it's just different now since he lost his anchor, his other half, his soul. She was a great person.

Sighing slowly looking at my watch i noticed that it's 1 in the morning. Oh my god i totally forgot that alphas and betas would be visiting us tomorrow and i have to be there for my dad. i slipped through my window back to my room and changed into comfy clothes and jumped on my bed. It's gonna be a long day tomorrow.

I wake up too early and took a quick shower, i put on a comfy black t-shirt, sweatpants and a black beanie then headed to my garage to see my babies. My orange Lamborghini Aventador stood like a beast, my red Ferrari 488, my matte black BMW I8 and finally my Grey G-Wagon and man did i love my cars, perks of being wealthy i say. I mean i know it's a lot but speed and fast cars are literally my life. I decided to take my Lambo on a ride and i went to my usual racing spot and i kept driving till I suddenly hear an engine roar next to me, looking to my right i spot jackson in his Porsche challenging me to race.

Jackson is the only one i probably get along with in the pack after my mom's death, my walls got so high only jackson could get over them. Plus he's my dad's beta's son so he is my beta.

Roaring his engine again he got me out of my thoughts and i roared my engine as a sign of accepting his challenge.

I let him enjoy himself a little as i look at him racing down the road in his yellow Porsche, kicking dirt as he does then he speeds and his engine revives. The sound of the engine is like music to my ears as i look at him smiling knowing the look on his face. "Not bad" i say to myself as i start my scene i revive my engine as a sign for him to get ready to lose.

I race up the road speeding, my engine revives violently and i smile to myself knowing who's gonna win this race. My car reaches over the top of the hill and slightly rising off the ground for a few seconds and it totally felt like i was flying. "HELL YEAH, THATS WHAT I LIVE FOR" i scream at the top of my lungs with the music blasting around me in my car. Reaching the finish line jackson catches up to me but i totally get him. I get out of my car laughing at jackson, looking at him he seems so pissed about his loss yet so happy.

"That was awesome lay, but not as awesome as what i did though." jackson said smiling. "Yeah right." I said laughing at him.

We returned to my garage, parking our babies carefully.
I look over my garage and then i poke jackson, "You know i'm thinking about adding a challenger to my collection, a hellcat. What do you think?" I asked him waiting for his response.
"Yeah, it would look awesome. If you want i'll take you tomorrow to see one." Jackson looked at me as if he was waiting for my approval. "Really? Thanks bud." i said smiling at him.

We walked back to the pack house still talking about our race when the smell of the alphas and their betas hit me. "They're here." I said as i walked into the house with jackson next to me.

"They must be in your dad's office." jackson said looking around. I nodded and went up to my room and changed into ripped jeans and a black shirt with boots and ran to my dad's office with jackson.

I knocked on the door and got in, I looked around me and greeted the alphas and betas with respect and went to sit next to my dad with jackson next to his. After a few seconds the alphas went back to their conversation and my dad whispered to me, "You're late laylah." and i looked over to him smiling and said, "I know, it's okay." and i swear with my life it's probably the first time my dad smiles after my mom's death. "You're growing up so fast, she would've been so proud." he said as he looked at me and all i did was smile because i didn't know what to say, that made me miss my mom even more.
Looking around i notice there's an alpha missing, Alpha Aiden Grey, thank god he didn't come or else i wouldn't even think about coming to this meeting from the hatred i have for him, he killed people and did horrible things that can't be said.

The day passed by and i went up to my room and changed into my comfy pajamas and looked at the sky to find the moon shining like a diamond, it's light lighting up the whole garden and i sat on the window looking up. "He misses you a lot, he smiled today, and said that you would've been so proud of me. And that made me so happy. I miss you a lot too, i know you're in a better place watching over us. I promise you to protect everyone. I love you mom." I said as i felt the wind hit me and i smiled knowing it's probably her sign of saying i love you too.

I went over to my bed wondering why didn't Aiden come?
Didn't dad invite him for business?
I don't even care, actually, thank god he didn't come. Slowly drifting to sleep in my warm bed i thought about the hellcat i'm gonna get tomorrow with jackson, it's gonna look fabulous.
