Chapter 10. Mornings

I awoke to the sound of my alarm. Erg I thought. I decided to text Max back now that he should be awake.

I slowly bought myself to get up and I walked over to my wardrobe and pulled out my school sports polo and addidas sports shorts and made my way to the bathroom.

After I showered I dressed into my school clothes and brushed through my wet hair and fish tail braided it and hung it over my shoulder. I got out my makeup and applied my foundation, eyeliner, mascara, lip stick and eye shadow. I left the bathroom and went to my dresser and put on my jewelry. Rings, necklaces, bracelets. I ran downstairs to eat my breakfast. Dad had left for work only 5 minutes ago. Dad is a brain surgeon and mum is a fitness trainer. My parents earn a lot of money and with me being an only child I get a lot of the things I want. I ate a bowl of milo cereal and ran back upstairs to finish getting ready. I put on my socks and my nikes and packed all my books into my school bag. I checked my timetable, I have PE, english, history, tech and maths. I packed my things for those 5 subjects and ran downstairs to grab some food. 2 apples, a sandwich, a salad and a fruit bar. Yes I'm a healthy girl when I want to be. I went back up stairs and put the food in my bag and grabbed my phone.

I grabbed my laptop and plopped down on the coach. I signed into my facebook account and had one notification.
Stacey McGuire: 'So sorry BABEZZ had to cancel the trip to see you going away. Over seas actually talk to you tonight x' and she tagged me in it. How could she ditch me like this! Great *note the sarcasm*
I got up and put my laptop back on my desk and remembered that Max had football training after school and I had to go job hunting after school all alone. I grabbed my bag and put my phone in my pocket and picked up my keys. I checked everything was turned off and locked before making my way out to my car. I searched the glove box and middle compartment for any gum or mints but was unsuccessful. I decided to go into woolworths on the way and get some.

I arrived at the center and parked the car grabbing my bag, locking the car and dashing inside. I ran to the isle and got 2 packs of spearmint gum and some mints and a bottle of water. I walked up to an empty register and gave the items to the young man behind the til.
'Hi how are you this morning?' he greeted.
'Good thanks how are you?'
'Good thankyou,' he said as he scanned the items and said the total. I payed him.
'Would you like a receipt?' he asked.
'Uh yes please' he gave me the receipt and I picked up the bag and began to walk off but then turned back around and walked over to him again.
'Excuse me,' I smiled
'Is everything alright?' he asked.
'Uh yeah I was just wondering how old you have to be to get a job here?' I said.
'16'
'Do you know if there would be any vacant jobs for me? I'm new here so I'm looking,'
'Uh if you come back in here about 4 the manager will be here and you can talk to him about it if you would like,'
'Yeah great thanks a lot' I smiled.
'Your quite welcome,' and with that I took a piece of the gum and shoved it in my mouth before driving to school.
