“She’s a feisty one, and a sacrificial suicide, he’ll love her,” Gage offered.

The demon’s beady eyes shifted from Gage to Lizzy on the floor, “it’s damaged.”

“Pestilence,” Gage rolled his free hand, “you know how it is with us. She thought I was taking this one for myself, but trust me when I say what matters is still in useable condition,” he gave Lizzy a sharp tug and sent her stumbling in front of him, “you can give her a go if you think I’m lying.”

The demon took a step forward in want and Lizzy tried to hide behind Gage’s legs. With good reason, the Sadist Twins were Bane’s big brothers. Everything he learned about pain and torture he learned from them. But there was one distinct difference between the brothers. The Sadists were celibate. They found more pleasure in their self denial of any sexual gratification then on getting off itself. With the constant temptation around them, knowing they could have any body they wanted at any time, their blue balls made them happier. It was the only reason Gage made the offer.

The hulking demon quickly restrained himself and stood back at his post, “are you going to stay for the surprise?”

“Nah, I’ve got shit to do- err,” he gritted his teeth as Lizzy sunk hers into his hand, “Just wanted to stop by and give Lucifer a token of my loyalty,” he grinned through the pain, “you know, because of the shit Michael was talking.”

He nodded once and reached over to open the door for Gage, “go then.”

As soon as the door thudded shut behind them Gage reached around and dislodged Lizzy, “enough!” he whispered harshly, “if you were hungry you should have just said something.”

“I’m not hungry,” she spat, literally, trying to get Gage out of her mouth.

“Really? Because that was more than just a love bite,” he grumbled and started them moving again.

Good news, there wasn’t a soul in the grand chamber, bad news, not three feet in she stopped them again.

“What now?” Gage turned to her in irritation.

She narrowed her eyes at him, “I…do I know you?”

He shook his head and tugged her along, “not the time for that kind of question.”

“I do don’t I?” she continued from behind him, “from where?”

He scrubbed a hand over his face as they slipped behind Lucifer’s throne, “not the time…”

He opened Lucifer’s bedchamber door carefully, peeking inside before hurrying the both of them through and closing them in. He released Lizzy with a warning not to touch anything as he went after the holy water. He didn’t want to do the absolving in here just in case the no leaving without the door applied to her too.

And there it was in the center of the room, on display behind sealed sheets of diamond glass taken from another distant realm. It wasn’t easily broken, but Gage wasn’t looking to make a mess anyway. Instead of breaking the glass he called to his blade, at Lizzy’s gasp, and slid it’s edge between two of the panels to break their bond. He then twisted his blade and held his breath at the crack, but it was only the two sections separating, not the glass breaking. He repeated it with the right side of the panel and then the top and the bottom till he had released an entire pane. It was easy from there, he pocketed the palm sized bottle and then placed the glass back in place.

Of course Lucifer would notice…eventually, but without any other signs of intrusion Gage figured it would give him enough time to-

   “I hear voices,” Lizzy whispered.
