Rivers will flood,
The sun will fade.
Surrendered in darkness,
Without a trace.
Mountains will grow,
Up into the sky.
They'll continue growing,
As so will I.
Leaves will fall,
Down to the ground.
Like a leaf I fall,
But I continue to stay down.
The earth will keep spinning on its axis.
Like my thoughts,
They keep on passing.
The moon will always be,
My safe place in a world so empty.
It brings me peace,
I don't know why.
