The car ride to the mall was long and, if I'm being honest, obnoxious. Harry and Louis wouldn't stop arguing over the stupidest things. Louis wanted his window down but Harry wanted it up. Harry wanted to stop for Starbucks, Louis argued that he wanted to go straight to the mall. It was a constant circle of bickering and I could see that Liam and Amy were getting very tired of it.

"ENOUGH! Okay? All you two have done since we got in the car is fight. You two are both young adults and are acting like you're three years old. Just fucking stop!" Silence. That's all you heard amongst the seven people in the car after Amy exploded. Louis and Harry's mouths were hanging open, shocked at her outburst. In the whole month we have known the two girls, we have never seen either one of them react that way, especially not Amy. It was almost scary really. I reach forward from the backseat to set my hand on her shoulder but she just shrugged it off. I sat back in my seat, stung by her actions. I wonder why she is so irritable. Ever since she read a text message earlier in the car ride, she has been very moody and quiet, only Liss was able to get a response out of her, through a text that no one else was able to see. Finally the mall is in sight and I can honestly say that I have never wanted to get out of a car as badly as I do right now. Before the car even comes to a halt, I am jumping out the door earning a yell from Liam. I don't even care, I was going crazy from the tension in the air and I needed to leave. Everyone joins me once they find a parking space and Liam smacks me on the arm but I just shrug.

"TO FOREVER 21!" Felicity screams, shooting towards what we learned was her favorite store. I see Amy hanging back and I drop back as well to meet with her.

"You alright, love?" I ask softly. She looks up at me, her green eyes so full of anger and sadness, but I could tell that none of it was directed towards me. She shakes her head and I am surprised that she is being honest. I expected her to lie and say she was fine.

"No.." She responds looking down. I put my hand on her shoulder again and this time she doesn't move away.

"Do you want to go grab a coffee instead of shopping at the moment. Just us?" She looks at me and nods slowly, showing that that is exactly what she wanted and needed at the moment.

"Can we stop at the bookshop too?" She asks quietly, almost timidly. I laugh and she looks at me confused.

"Oh of course we can!" I assure her quickly and that brings a small smile to her face. Then she does something so unexpected that I almost don't know how to react. She reaches forward...and hugs me. Sure we've hugged before, but this time it's different. This time, it is a hug that says she needs someone and that person is me. I hug her back a moment later, letting my arms wrap around her curvy frame. Pulling away, I reach for her hand, leaving it a few inches away from hers to see if she will let me. Amy looks at my hand for a moment before reaching out hers, slowly, and takes mine. Her hand is so small and warm, and I feel as though it was meant to fit in mine. I have never seen her in this state of fragility before and I want to know what exactly the text said or who it was from that could make her be this way. We make our way to Starbucks after telling the rest of the group and we order out drinks. She goes to find a seat while I pay, much to her protest.

"Thanks," She says when I hand her the cold drink. I sit across from her in the small booth and we sip our coffee quietly for a few moments. "I bet you're wondering aren't you?"

"Wondering what?" I ask in return, knowing exactly what she's talking about. She smiled a little, seeing straight through me.

"About who the text was from." I ponder it a few minutes before responding.

"Kind of...but you don't have to explain if you don't want to.." I trail off. She nods.

"I know." She responds and we leave it at that. After a little while we decided to go to the bookshop called Galore. Walking inside I am amazed at how many books there are. It's almost like Barnes & Nobles! She heads straight to the fiction section and browses their selection, stopping every so often to pick up a book and reads the description before setting it down or holding onto it. I loved watching her look so calm and serene.

"Ooh they have the new Sarah Dessen book!" She exclaims softly as to not disturb the other customers. I look over her shoulder to see her holding a book called Just Listen.

"Lets get it. I'll get one too and we can read it together." I offer. She looks at me amazed.

"Really? You'd do that?" I nod with a smile.

"If it interests you, then I will try it out too!" I announce and she leans over to kiss my cheek before blushing furiously. We walk to the register, me still in shock. I pay for them after arguing with her again and we hear out to find the lads and Felicity. They all have at least four full bags each and I know that Harry most likely payed for Lissy's. He has taken quite a liking to her and I know she put up a big argument because she is just like Amy.

"LET'S GO HOME GUYS!" Louis shouts, earning us a few glares which Liam apologizes to. Today has been a very good day and Amy sits next to me in the back of the van, leaning her head on my shoulder. We get a few looks but we ignore them and soon Amy is fast asleep. Wow she's pretty. Wait. Did I just think that........?
