Steven stood in shock as Lapis exited the temple. "Steven! It's been so long since I last spoke to you!" Her joy was overpowering at this point. You could practically feel it radiating off of her. "Lapis, I'm sorry I didn't come with you!" Steven had tears in his eyes as he ran up to Lapis and hugged her. "It's ok, I knew they were tricking you so I wasn't surprised when you turned me down." She was now crying a little too. "How did you escape Jasper?" Lapis thought for a moment. "I don't know, we were fighting for control when this light appeared and made us split up." "Steven, what did they tell you about Homeworld?" I asked daring the answer. "They told me you did a lot of bad things, like make the Kindergarten." Of course they would tell him that. His mind is young and persuadable. "Steven, you should know we gems didn't choose to do that. The diamonds made us build those horrible things." I looked down knowing he wouldn't believe me. The other two gems on the temple door began to glow making a double door out. Sunstone and Cats-eye stept out, their eyes turning from the normal haze to utter amazement. "Did we interrupt something?" Sunstone asked as she stood there looking at Lapis. "No no, It's ok." Lapis got up, looking embarrassed, and brushed herself off. "Hello, I'm still here." Peridot stood that the front of the group looking peeved (Annoyed). "Oh, it's you." Lapis sneered. Peridot looked uneasy to see her, for some reason. "Look, i'm sorry about all that, but please put that behind you." "No, I will never forget what you did to me. You're on my ship now." Peridot and Steven locked eyes. I have no idea what happened but Peridot when up to Lapis and whispered something to her. Lapis looked shocked and backed away for Peridot. "What did you tell her?" "Just about what "The Cluster" is." Oh, yea. That thing she came here to check. I know this because I have been watching this whole time. Not in a creepy way, I just did something with a portal and some things happened that I will explain later. Right now I focused on Cats-eye who had been silent the whole time. "Cat, you ok?" She just turned her head to look at me. Her eyes can tell you a lot, but then again anyones can. I could tell right away she was still upset about what happened and she had not forgiven me. Also she was thinking about pancakes. I looked down at Steven and Peridot. "Peridot, can you go check the control room? I think the autopilot control is broken, but i'm not sure." Peridot looked at me as if I had two heads, then left making a face that clearly said I don't buy it.

Connie p.o.v

I exited Steven's house after the evening incident. I had cried for half the time until Amethyst comforted me. I hadn't see the fusion since it went outside, so I went looking for it. Right before I left Amethyst said something about it being named Topaz. I went out and saw a black ship hanging 20 feet in the air. My veins filled with fire and ice as the ship began to get higher and higher. "Pearl! Amethyst! Garnet!" I yelled running into the house. "What is it Connie?" Pearl questions me with a hint of challenge in her voice. "Come outside." They looked at me for a moment then ran outside. "Gems, weapons!" Garnet commanded. Amethyst expertly pulled out her whip and wrapped it around the ship's front. Pearl darted up the rope and stabbed her spear into the thruster. The ship started jerking around wildly, almost throwing Pearl off. "Do you need help?" I tried asking her, but the ship threw her off before she could respond. Garnet pushed off the ground, sending out a shockwave, and rocketed her fists at it. "Hey you! Get off our ship!" a white figure flew out and hit Garnet with fire. Garnet flew back and hit the ground with a thump. I watched helplessly as the fight raged on. Two more figure came out of the ship and attacked Amethyst and Pearl. One had fire for wings and the other had leaf wings. The one who attacked Pearl had a wall coming up from the ground. An earth bender. It made sense why they all had an element but I wasn't sure about the girl with the moon wings. I looked back over at the ship and saw two heads peeking out of the door. "Steven, Peridot! Right here!" I called to them not thinking the others would hear me. The white girl pushed Garnet away and flew down to me. "You should come with me. I have a lot of explaining to do and this is not the time nor place." She held out her hand. Before I could take it, Garnet slammed into her. I twitched. This was bad enough that the Gems couldn't defeat them, but to know she had something she could tell me made me want to take her hand. Was that bad? A voice answered me. No, take her hand, Connie. The girl was fighting with Garnet again. She looked at me for a moment and made a firewall between Garnet and her. "Please," She held out her hand one more time, exhaustion and strain in her eyes. I took a breath, and took it.
