A brown coffin was being lowered into a grave. Many people were surrounding this coffin. It was Auric's. Everyone cried. Except for Liam. Liam was angry. He had lost the last member of his "family." As a child, Liam's parents were killed by cancer. Lung for his mother. Pancreatic for his father. With no other family, Liam was adopted. Hating his adoptive parents, Liam passed through that life as quickly as possible. After finishing high school, he enrolled in the police academy. There he met Auric. And Auric had been there for what seemed like forever. Auric was his only family. The coffin was buried, and Liam tried to bury the past too. But he couldn't.

"As you see, Mr.Hies, the liquid in that bag isn't a normal liquid. We say it's a drug of some sort. However, it matches no known existing ones. Perhaps it is a sloppy homemade product." "I'm sure there is more to it." Liam was walking through the forensics unit with Dr.Keeli, the head substance analyst. "I'm sure there is more to it too, but at the moment. It seems this liquid has no use." "Then why was he carrying it around?!" "Sir, I understand that you are frustrated about your the death of your fr-" "Frustrated?! He was all I had! Now because of your incompetence to find ANYTHING useful, the man walks free!" They had stopped walking. Everyone had heard the last comment. "Well, we do have something to work off of. I'll show you the autopsy report." Dr.Keeli lead Liam to his office, where he pulled out a file from a filing cabinet. "Sit down." Keeli pulled out a chair for Liam, and sat across from him. There was a round wooden coffee table in between. He put down the file on the table. "You see, Auric was killed by a unknown force. You told us that the last thing you saw was a light?" "Yes, that is correct." "We may have identified this light as a surreal power." "Pardon me? A power?" "Yes. Auric's organs were scrambled, all his bones were broken. And, the only thing that happened to him physically, was being slammed into your car." Liam was baffled. "How... How does that work?" "Well, we've had reports of many men using what is described as "paranormal strengths." We believe that one of those men killed Auric. I was talking with the chief, and we both agree. Investigate these men." Liam was speechless. He was no detective, and was a low ranking person in the massive ladder of the police force. "Marcus, I... I can't do that." "Well, you have no choice." The room was silent. Liam was confused. Puzzled over what he had just heard. Since when were there super humans? It was all so sudden. "Where do I go now?" "Go to the lab room. A sample of the fluid will be shown to you with a full description. Just head over there now." Liam stood up, and walked out of the office.
