Love. A word people have on their shirts, mugs, keychains... Some even tattoo it. After globalization, the word 'love' is just everywhere and most people don't even know what it means. They claim it is an universal feeling, but is it really?

Some cultures are more reserved while others are passionate about everything around them. If one grew up watching soap operas in Mexico and the other has parents who had an arranged but happy marriage in the Middle East, is one of them doomed to be broken hearted?

From all mistranslations, the concept of love is the most confusing and damaging one. Yes, there is an equivalent of the word in French, German, Portuguese, Chinese, but because none of them is properly defined, what we end up with is something that could never be translated. Like broken hiperlinks lead to nothing.
