He expected to see you standing with a surprise look. Something he imagined for years.

But boy was he wrong. The one who was extremely surprised was him.

There in front of him, was a little boy.

Not just any boy, a mini aomine.

It was like looking at his younger self!

His eyes opened in shock, and he could not speak. Even when tried, no words could be heard.

The boy looked up at him and smiled widely.

'Shit does he notice we look the same?'

"Your... The aomine daiki!!" The little boy squeaked with happiness.

Aomine still didn't speak. He only shook his head yes.

"So cool!! I can't believe it!! This is like a dream come true! It's like the biggest surprise ever!" He exclaimed

'You and I both kid.'

"Do you speak English?!?"

"Err...a-a l-little." Aomine stuttered.

'Why am I stuttering? Oh that's right, theres a kid who looks like me!'

"That's okay, I speak Japanese too." The boy spoke in perfect Japanese that even surprised aomine.

Aomine cleared his throat and bent down at the kids height level.

"Ummm is (F/n) (L/n) here.?"

"Eh? You mean mom? No she's at work."

'Mom? So... That means....no way...'

Aomine face went white. Even if he was dark, you could tell.

"Hey are you okay??" The boy looked at him worried.

"Uh...ah...y-yeah... I....just need to take a seat somewhere."

"Oh! Come in then!" The boy grabbed his hand and led him to the living room couch. Aomine sat down, letting a breath of air out

The boy went to the kitchen to grab water for aomine.

"Here, drink this." He handed him the water, which aomine chugged down quickly.

'Is this my kid? But how? When??'

"S-so... How old are you?" He asked the mirror image of himself.

"7...but I turn 8 next month." He said proudly.

Thats when it hit him... years ago.. you and him...the last night you both spent together. The hot night he enjoyed so much. Maybe a little too much. Because now, years later, he finds out he has a son.

'Im a dad.... Me? For crying out loud I'm a DAD!!' Inside aomine was extremely happy. He looked at the boy who was sitting on the couch next to him.

Soon the feeling of happiness was replaced with confusion and anger.

'Why didn't she tell me?? She kept this a secret from me? What the Hell...'

"Wheres your mom?" His cleared his throat from having any angry tone heard.

"Mom is at work... She comes home at 5."

Aomine looked at the time on his hand. 3:59pm.

"And your all alone?" Aomine questioned.

'Who leaves a kid alone? Some parent she is.'

"Well....." The boy looked down at his feet, as if he did something bad.

"I'm supposed to stay at the neighbors house.... But I snuck out."

"Snuck...out?"

The boy simply nodded.

"I don't like staying there."

'Like father like son I guess? Haha'

"Why not?"

The boy scooted closer to aomine and stood up whispered lowly.

"She stinks...like old lady." He wrinkled his nose in disgust.

Aomine busted out laughing so hard, he had to hold on to his stomach.

"Your really funny kid you know that?" He wiped a tear on his eye that he got from laughing so hard.

The boy beamed at aomine, having been complimented by his basketball idol.

"So your mom doesn't come back till ... Maybe I should come back tomorrow." He stood up from the couch and yawned.

"Do you have to go?" The boy spoke sadly. The sound if his own son made aomine feel guilty.

He bended down and grinned at the boy.

"Not if you don't want me too."

The boy grinned the same way aomine did. Making aomine know for sure he was definitely his son.

"Then... Can we play a game!?"

"What kind of game?"

"A board game! Oh and by the way, my name is daichi. Daichi (L/n)."

"DAI meaning 'large or great,' and CHI meaning 'wisdom or intelligence'. He smiles proudly at the name that fits him so well.

He held his hand out to shake with aomines.

'Even our names are almost the same...except for the intelligent part.'

Aomine grinned and took the little hand in front of him for a handshake.

"Nice to meet you...daichi."
