Chains and Realization-chapter 11

Harold was being way too difficult for me to continue the favors.
"Harold!" I said with my hands together.
"No"
"Bu-"
"No"
"Pleas-"
"Fine"
"Really?" I got way too excited but should've expected his next answer.
"No"
"Fine, go tell LeShawna yourself then"
"Fine, that's something I can do."

He told LeShawna,
LeShawna brought the baby(cousin) back to DJ,
DJ stopped making the brownies,
Bridgette pushed Cody off the skateboard,
Cody gave Heather the remaining parts of their project,
Heather ripped the necklace off Courtney,
Courtney cancelled her and Trent's date,
and Trent walked over straight to Gwen and started talking to her.

Bridgette patted me on the back and said "I'll talk to her."

Gwen's POV

Trent walked over to me and started flirting but Bridgette pulled me away and dragged me into the girls bathroom.

"What was that for?" I sighed.
"Did you not realize what Duncan's been doing?" She started yelling at me.
"What are you talking about?! Please explain."
"All the little hints he's been doing, well one's been huge, you see how Trent was talking to you? It's only because Duncan went out of his way to find a way so Trent got off your back and he did favors on favors so he'd stop but one person screwed it all up and it got ruined and everything went wrong but he's trying so hard so you like him, Gwen give the boy a chance." She sighed and walked out the bathroom so she could go to her first class.

Maybe she was right, maybe I'm torturing him and maybe he's already proved himself. Those were my only thoughts as I used my free period to just think.To think about Duncan, wondering what I'm gonna say to him.
I ripped a piece of paper and started writing something down.

Duncan;
Listen, I heard everything you've done to keep me in your life, like all those favors, letting go of Courtney, a girl you've been dating since 7th grade, etc so you won the bet.

It kinda smudged since lefty for days but it doesn't matter. I ran out of the girls bathroom and put the note in his locker.

His class was over and I needed to see his reaction to the note so I hid behind a plant, I get that plant's aren't huge but I'm petite so it's easy to hide. He started reading it and all I saw was him throwing away the note. What did I do wrong ?I ran up to him.

"Hey juvie." I smiled.
"What do you want?" He rolled his eyes and slammed his locker. "Sorry that I'm not good enough." He started to walk away.
"What are you talking about?" I grabbed his arm.
"The note, you said I lost the bet, Gwen I get that y-"
"Uhm no it didn't ?"
"Mhm.Bye." He walked away to ELA.

"What did I do wrong ??" I slid to the floor and started crying.
