Chapter one: Home

I sighed as I looked back at my school. It's a two story building made from brick. I had finally graduated eighth grade.

You know how people say they feel different. Sad or depressed mostly. I didn't...it felt like any other school day...like tomorrow I'll wake up and just go back to the routine.

I skilled and turned around and started walking home. Mom was at work and Grandma wouldn't be home until five or six.

I stopped and looked at my phone. My sister had tested.

' Hey, were are you? ' She asked.

'on the way.' I replied.

I started through the small stretch of woods I used as shorter way home. I took a deep breath and smiled.

It had rained last night and you could still smell it in the air. I was about half way through the woods when I heard foot steps. I looked around and saw a weeping willow to my left.

I went in the leaves and parkoured up to the to thanking my mom and grandma for the intense training and gymnastics. I looked down as the footsteps stopped.... It's my sister.

Facepalm.

I jumped from the top of the tree which was just only two or there stories. Short I know.

"Hey!" she said smiling.

"wassup?" I asked. She never walked me home. In our town it's everyone, woman, or child on there own. Morbid...yes but it made us stronger. I remember my first. Every child does. It was right here...in these woods. I could still smell the blood. Mom said that if I did she would love me. So I did it. Mom told me why it had to be him. He did they one unforgivable thing... He stole Moms heart then broke it and girls from or family are special. EXTRA special.

We hold grudges for long times and if you loose our trust you won't ever get it back.

"Mom has a mission for you." Rea said (Re-uh).

" If I do it can I sleep in the house again?" I asked. I've been sleeping on the roof lately because I failed the last mission.

"Yes." She said.

We raced home at our fastest speed. But me being me ran into the side of the house so she won.

"Awwwwwww. You cheater." I whined.

" Alexis get inside NOW!" Mom yelled from the third story window. I went inside and headed upstairs to moms lab.

"Drink this now." Mom said. I nodded and grabbed the vial downed it and looked at mom....

"What-" I was saying before everything went black.

Walking up face down in a puddle hurts. In many ways than one. Used to being an experiment I stood up calmly and walked down a path that just happened to be there. Oh well.

The Further down the path I went the harder it rained. More than once I had to dodge a tree cause the rain was so thick. I eventually came to an cave looking thing. I went inside then heard footsteps. I quickly hid and kept quiet.

"She should be here by now."
