C h a p t e r 24

'New text from Dan X: That sounds good Laurs! I'm in London next weekend actually. We're gonna record some new stuff, but I'm sure I'll have Saturday night off if that's okay?' I showed my phone to Sophie and let her read the text.

'OMG that's totally fine with me! Tell him it's okay! We can just order some food and hang out right?' I chuckled at her and nodded. She turned around again and I continued talking to Danny for a bit.

'Text to Dan X: Yeah that sounds really good! I'll tell my friends, can't wait already XX'

'New text from Dan X: Perfect! XX Did you tell yer friends??'

'Text to Dan X: Nope, Sophie just really ships us and wants us together. This was all her idea. And I'm glad you didn't say anything about it in the text haha, that would have given it all up X'

'New text from Dan X: I knew something was up. If you had told them I would have known ;) No worries at all, I'll keep my hands to myself on Saturday ;) X' And there was the Dan I knew, cheeky as ever.

'Text to Dan X: Sounds great! Can't promise I will though ;)'

'New text from Dan X: In that case, just go for it ;) Have to get back to recording now Laurs, I'll talk to ye laters :)'

'Text to Dan X: Looking forward to it! I'll see you soon!' I closed my phone and hid the smile on my face. The blush that formed on my cheeks as well.

'Aww your smiling Laurs! And is that a little blush I see?' Sophie just had to point it out didn't she?

'Well yeah, how can I not?' I replied looking down at the desk not meeting her eyes.

'Aww, someone's in loooove!' I looked at her and gave her a light punch in the stomach.

'Really Soph...Thanks a lot.' I gave her a glare. She just laughed at me.

'So what did he say after?'

'He said he'll be there. I'm gonna talk to him later today about it I guess.'

'Sounds great! Will you let me know when you know more? I can tell the others in the group chat on Facebook. Should we have Oscar there or not?'

'Uhm I think it would be best if he wasn't there to be honest. I know I've not talked to him since and this would only make it more awkward. But I'll let you know when he tells me more and you can write it in the group chat we have the 4 of us.'

'Okay I'll do that.'

'Okay students, you are free to go now. I see no one here is actually doing what you are supposed to and this is the last class for you today so you can all go home if you'd like.' Immediately the whole class stood up and left the room. I said goodbye to Sophie and went home.

I arrived at my house, but no one was home and as usual there was no note. For all I knew my mother could have left me here. She probably hadn't though, unfortunately... So I went upstairs as I usually did and went on my computer. I went to my email first, for some reason. I saw that Danny had sent me all the pictures from this weekend. I decided not to open it just yet. I wanted to wait for later tonight. Then I could just have a quiet night in looking through them. I was probably gonna print out some of them and put them in a frame too, so I thought it would be a perfect project for tonight. Right now I just decided to put on some music and relax for a bit.

'Lauren?!' Mom shouted from downstairs. I quickly opened my eyes and realized I had fallen asleep. I got home from school at 3 and it was now 5:30. I had been asleep for about 2 hours.

'Yes?!'

'Can you come down?!'

'Okay I'm coming down now.' I got off the bed and walked downstairs. My mom was sitting on the couch with her computer, as usual.

'Have you eaten yet? I'm not gonna make dinner today since I ate at work, so you can just take whatever we have or go buy something.'

'Okay I'll do that.' I walked into the kitchen and opened the fridge. As usual there was very little food here. My mom was not very good at keeping food in the house. She was more often at work and ate there so she didn't buy food for the fridge. That meant I had so go to the store myself more often.

'Mom, I'm gonna go buy some food now. I'll be back soon.' I grabbed my wallet and put on my shoes and jacket. I walked to the store and picked out some food for today and for tomorrow as I probably had to find something for myself then as well. I walked home quickly and started making some food. By now it was almost 6:30. I was still tired from school for some reason. After I had eaten I decided to go upstairs again. I opened my computer and started looking through the pictures from the weekend. I spent an hour looking through all of them. I must admit the pictures were really good, Danny really had a talent for photography. As expected I found a few good pictures of us and printed them out. I found an old photo album in my shelf that I had gotten for Christmas about 6 years ago. At that time getting a photo album for Christmas was really lame, now I was more than happy. I put some of the pictures I printed in the album and put one in a frame. I was really happy with the result of it. I took a picture of it and sent it to Danny.

'Text to Dan X: I printed this one of us and put it in a frame! Now I got one to put in my shelf next to my favorite decorations ❤️' Attached to the message was a picture of Danny and I in a frame. We stood face to face looking in each other's eyes smiling. This picture really showed what we felt about each other. Even if we didn't say it we knew how we felt. We were in love and things were going great. Yes, I was in love with him. I knew that well now and this will be the first time I'm even admitting it to myself. I'm in love with Danny.

'New text from Dan X: looking great Laurs ❤️ What have ye been up to today? Been trying to call ye.' I looked at my phone and went into recent calls. He had been trying to call 2 times while I was asleep. I had put my phone in a do not disturb mode so I didn't hear the phone.

'Text to Dan X: aww Sorry! I muted my phone and fell asleep :( Other than that I have just looked through all the pictures you sent, love them!!'

'New text from Dan X: at least ye got some rest. Bet ye were tired after that weekend ;) Been at the studio today, now I'm done!'

'Text to Dan X: yeah I was ;) Did you write some new songs?'

'New text from Dan X: yeah I did, can't wait for u to hear it X'

'Text to Dan X: yeah can't wait for the new album! You better hurry finishing it! 😏'

'New text from Dan X: I'll give ye a little listen next time we see each other X'

'Text to Dan X: no I wanna wait! I wanna be like the other fans, I'll wait until it's released. I don't want special treatment cause you're my boyfriend X'

'New text from Dan X: whatever you want Laurs ;) but you will get special treatment cause you deserve it X'

'Text to Dan X: aww you're cute ❤️ No Wonder why I fell for you X'

'New text from Dan X: you said it! First time! This needs a celebration 🎊🎉 Jokes Laurs, I've fallen for you too X'

'Text to Dan X: It was time, couldn't hold it anymore ❤️ Glad we're on the same page now!'

'New text from Dan X: Yeah we are X Gotta go now Laurs, Mark and Glen are coming over and then we're heading to the pub ;)'

'Text to Dan X: Okay, I have to apply for uni anyways. Have fun Dan! ❤️ Talk to you tomorrow!'

'New text from Dan X: right, let me know when ye have applied X Talk tomorrow X' I put down and took out my computer again. I went online and searched for unis. I decided to apply in both Dublin and London, they were my dream places and I knew I would be close to Danny in both places. I went to the bathroom and got changed and went to bed. I decided not to text Danny about the applications tonight, he was out with the lads and I didn't want to disturb him so I just went to sleep.

Next chapter: Lauren tells Danny about her decisions about uni. It's soon time for Danny's visit again.
