Chapter 1

(Natalie's POV)

I walked in as I dropped my backpack on the floor, school was finally over! I was a graduate! I couldn't believe it I had so many awards, I felt so proud of myself that I was sure my mom would be too! I walked over to the kitchen and saw my Dad standing with his back towards me and my Mom was standing still with frightened eyes, my little sister right behind her. I motioned for Mia my sister to come forward she was only one , she walked funny since she was beginning to walk then I looked at my Dad what was he holding?

"Dad?" I said looking at him.

He turned around to look at me and he had a gun in his hand.

"Oh my Gosh! Dad, no!" I yelled.

Then a shot went off I covered my little sisters ears quickly and I shut my eyes tight, when I opened them I saw horror. My mom fell to her side and blood quickly started spreading around her. I picked up my sister and ran upstairs, I couldn't believe it, I had to get out of here. I dumped my books and started throwing in Mia's clothes, diapers, I threw in two pair of jeans 4 shirts, socks, underwear, a blanket, 5 bottles and Mia's pacifiers into my backpack. I picked up my little sister and opened my window, I set her outside and said "Don't move" I ran back inside and looked out the hallway for her stroller, I went past the table in the hallway my dads wallet was on top, I opened it and pulled out all of his money dumping it in my back pocket. I opened a closet door and pulled out Mias very light weight pink stroller and set her baby bag inside with a blanket of hers and her monkey doll. I ran back to my room and I jumped out my window, I propped the stroller up and put Mia inside setting her in, I threw her baby bag underneath and started to run with my backpack on and, I didn't bother to turn around. I had tears in my eyes, I stopped in front of the bus station and went inside the bus, it was lonely, good. I looked at Mia and then at my iPod. I had to go back. I could not leave my mother there, I pushed a button and the bus stopped I walked out pushing Mia's stroller she was asleep. I had to leave her with someone really quickly. I started to run and then I saw at the park by my house 2 guys on the bench. I ran up to them, they looked up. Oh my god. It was Niall and Liam from One Direction.

"Hey Guys, can you'll do me a favor?" I said quickly

Niall furrowed his brows and Liam spoke up smiling.

"Sure anything?" Said Liam

"Can you guys take care of my little sister really quick I will be right back, thank you!" I said running across the street then I turned the corner and stopped.

I dialed the police and told them to come over and get my mum. I ran to my house and stopped on my front door, I slowly walked in and couldn't hear my dad or mum. I walked towards the kitchen and saw my mum still on the ground, she was breathing. I kneeled next to her and grabbed her hand she saw me and tried to talk.

"No mom, please" I whispered crying now.

"I-I love you Natalie" she said softly

"Mom, please don't speak, the-the ambulance, and-and the police are coming everything will be fine, Mom. Hang on please..." I murmured.

"Promise me something" she said.

"Anything" I said

"Give your brother a call, take care of your sister, and -" she said suddenly stopping

"Mom, please" I said

"Here, take , my ring. " she said

I looked at it and it was a pink diamond ring, surely not from my dad I held it in my hand and kissed her forehead .
