"Huh, really now?"

Dalton grumbles something from behind me before picking me up and carrying me back to Max's office. Punching his back a few times I finally give up and let my gaze watch his sexy ass muscles contract with each step he takes. Without thinking much about it I reach forward and poke his right ass cheek. Not satisfied with the poke I reach out and squeeze both of his firm globes and groan a little bit. A snarl and a door slamming has me snapping out of my lust and jerking my hands from his body. What the hell was wrong with me?

Whipping me over his shoulder he gently places me on my feet before pushing me up against the wall. Pinning me to the wall with his hips he grinds his length into me. "What do you think you're doing groping me like that mate?" He growls out his question as I groan and lick my lips.

"I don't know what is wrong with me Dalton." I whimper when he presses just right on my little bundle of nerves.

"I'm sorry love, I tried to warn you. Damn it. I should have done better. I'm not being a very good mate." His eyes fill with pain and anger and it lances my heart.

Placing my hands on his stubble covered cheeks I pull his head down to mine and rest our foreheads against each other. Looking into his eyes I can see so many different emotions and they all tear at my heart. "You're doing great babe. We're both new at this and it's going to take time." Running my fingers over his cheeks as I utter the words I try to calm him the best way I know how.

"I could be doing better." He almost growls the words at me.

"You told me you didn't like hearing me talk bad about myself. I'm telling you the same. Please don't speak so poorly of yourself. You're not a bad man, Alpha, or mate. You're new to having to do all your jobs and add me into the mix. This is going to be tough and there are going to be bumps along the way. We can make it if we hold on to each other instead of giving up." I finish my speech with a sweet kiss on his lips before smiling at him as big as I can.

"I'm so blessed." He pulls me to him and holds me against his body. His strong arms wrapped around me makes me feel safe and cared for. Sighing I wrap my arms around him and lean against him. I know we can do this. It's still so confusing but I know we can.

"I'm taking out trash!" I shout over to where the guys are talking to Max. Dalton's head immediately whips around.

"Not alone." He states it easily as if I'm a pawn for him to command and it almost makes me smile.

"If you don't want it to be alone then I suggest you, or whoever you're sending with me, hurries because I'm doing it now." Rolling my eyes at his growl I turn and head for the back door. I really wasn't joking about not waiting. I smell like cigarettes and beer, I want a shower and a huge plate of food.

Kicking the back door open I carry out the monster sized bags toward the dumpster. It's not too far from the backdoor so I know that I won't have to go far. The smells coming from the dumpster and bags I'm carrying almost make me gag. Someone had a bit too much fun drinking and dancing and projectile vomited all over the place. It was horrid. The crunching of the gravel beneath my boots fills the night air and I wish that I wasn't surrounded by such a stench. It would be nice to stop and stare at the stars and just breathe.

Finally reaching the dumpster I drop the bags and grab the disgusting lid of the dumpster. Lifting it I push with quite a bit of strength to get the damn thing to open all the way. The resounding sound of the large lid hitting the back of the dumpster is loud enough to almost make me jump on the quiet night. Picking up one of the bags I toss it in with a little grunt. These things are so damn heavy and it doesn't help that the dumpster is almost taller than me. Picking up the second I toss it in as well. Shaking my hands to get whatever liquid was on the outside of the bag I begin to walk around the dumpster to grab the lid and push it back up.
