Chapter Eighteen

Depuis le début

“An immortal you say?” Lucifer purred, “And though you wish to be rid of this immortal, you do not want to be spurned by your master for the death am I correct? This is why you came to me, so that I will bear his wrath over such a death? That is a grand request…”

“Yes. But it bares reward for the both of us,” he was quick to add.

“How so? The death of an immortal is not lightly taken.”

“For myself it is obvious, without the him in the way the one’s affection I seek will have nowhere else to land but on myself.”

“You sound so sure of this, how can you be sure there is not another they would turn to?”

“Because I was once the center of their affection and I am certain without Gage’s distraction I will be once more.”

“Gage?” Lucifer sat up a little straighter, “in what realm would I have him killed for your gain?” he spat. “I am of the mind to have you killed for the breath you’ve forced me to waste on this conversation. Gage,” he huffed, “your mind must have grown sick to think I would execute my most efficient killer. Bane,” he motioned to the demon beside him, “why don’t you show our guest what we do with traitors.”

“Traitor?” Michael balked, “we have made no deal, I have not deceived you in any wa-”

“No but you have betrayed your God,” Lucifer cut him off, “and he has sent his own children’s souls here for less. Bane, do remove him from my presence.”

“With pleasure,” the demon’s orange eyes glowed in the dim light, “And if I happen to get…lost on the way?”

“Then I’d hope you’d find something to occupy yourself,” Lucifer grinned maliciously.

Ah, would that not be a dream come true, to sodomize one of God’s angels himself. But Lucifer was not Bane, he did not get off on pain inflicted on himself, only that he caused others. And with Michael’s divine blood it would surely sear Lucifer’s cock to enter him.

Again the angel went for his blade as Bane approached. But knowing what he was reaching for Fury quickly removed her grasp, the metal freezing instantly to its leather holster once more rendering it useless. The panic slipped over him with the first shiver rendering his limbs useless, unable to fight back against what he knew was coming. Of course he knew, those in heaven more than the mortals on earth knew what would fall on them in hell. He knew it when he made the journey here that pain was a very probable outcome. That he would be stuck here without the warmth of heaven or even earth to fuel his transport Lucifer had a feeling he didn’t know ahead of time. No that’s not something he figured God discussed with his underlings. And considering the circumstances Lucifer doubted Michael had let God know where he was going just in case he needed rescuing.

It was all very satisfying, but its novelty was already gone and Lucifer had lost interest as Bane circled his prey. As another of the demons shoved Michael closer to Bane’s grasp Lucifer slipped from his throne to retire to his private chambers. He had just had a fresh soul delivered and was ready to get to it. A drunk driver whose actions had resulted in the death of two of her passengers. An otherwise innocent soul as it was, one that would be oh so much fun to turn into a bloody puddle of pain.

It wasn’t the soul themselves Lucifer fed off of like so many thought, but their suffering. Quality before quantity and her pain would leave him stuffed like an engorged mortal after some holiday feast.

He was about to close his chamber door behind him when he heard the angel’s pitiful whimper as Bane finally caught him. He paused, waiting for that one last plea for mercy that so often came in this sort of situation. But instead of a plea, his ears were met with something much more novel.
