Off to the side

If only you knew
We were always together
Together like bird feathers
Friends turned to lovers, even though im the only one loving
You like my best friend
You guys have a history, longer than mine
I wish you'd get out of my mind
But you're stuck there, you won't leave until i get over you
Oh, what should i do
I'm trying to get you to notice me
But you dont see
We only have "hi"
And im standing there on the side
Wanting to jump out, but i always miss you
She's lucky, its so easy for her
Im a tree losing all my leaves, losing the last bit of you i have
You're a hurricane, passing through, breaking me
We can't be bird feathers if we've fallen out
Nothing
Just me and my best friend, a wall standing that she reaches through
Trying to tell me something, but i think of you
And take a step back
But theres nothing i can do
I cant hate her, i cant hate you, i can only be stuck in the middle
And off to the side
