Chapter Three: It's Done

Start from the beginning

She just stands there and doesn't say a word. Silence filled the room. I then broke the silence and walked up the stairs. "Sleep well..." I say low but high enough for her to hear me. She doesn't understand anything at all. Like I said before, I think I'm better off by myself. At this point, sleep is the only thing on my mind...

The next morning, I was too tired to get out of bed, But as usual I eventually got up. It's Sunday morning and I don't have much planned for today. Other than to go hang out with the group. Today is my day to choose the next victim. Whoever kills last, picks next usually. I don't have any ideas at the moment so i'm going to ask if they have anyone on their minds. After i'm ready to head outside, I go downstairs to see my mom is cooking breakfast.

"How'd you sleep?" She asked while flipping the pancakes on the opposite side.

"Could of been better.what's with you?"

I get closer to her so she can see I'm serious about my question. "I was thinking about what you said and you're right. I'll change for the both of us."

After breakfast, I went ahead and left to go to Roxanne's house. Everyone will meet there. The murder of Alice or Lauren hasn't broke out on the news yet, and neither has the suspect for Lauren's case. I find it kind of weird, knowing that now a days, murders goes on the news the day of or the day after they find the body. What exactly is taking them so long? When I made it to Roxanne's house, everyone was there except for Erik. "Is he coming?" I ask Gavin "He should be, I just got off the phone with him." He then grabs my hand to lead me to the couch.

As we sit and 10 minutes went by, Erik finally shows up. "Look who we have here." Hale says while tapping his foot on the ground. "Shut up, i'm late, but be happy I came." He says while giving Hale an evil expression. "Going straight to it...who did you choose?" Roxanne asks while crossing her arms.

"Honestly, I don't know. I kind of wanted one of you to choose."

I look down at my hands waiting for them to deny my offer. "Well, if you insist...I call my dad" Roxanne says with no hesitation. "Why? He's a nice guy." I ask while leaning over to hear her response correctly. "he just doesn't deserve life, I have no freedom." She looks me in my eyes.

"You have no mom, now you want no dad. You're going to get put with a foster family.. You call that freedom?"Noone knows the things I would do to see my dad again.

"Ok, boo-hoo, your dad died. Am I supposed to still feel bad for you? Get over it." She wipes fake tears off her face.

"There is no need for you to come at me like I'm the bad guy." I stand up to walk towards her but Gavin pulls me back on the couch.

"This is my dad, not yours!" She yells across the room. "You seriously want to lose him forever!" I yell back.

"We let this go on long enough" Erik says while putting his hand up for us to be quiet. "Look, rather you like it or not i'm going to kill him." Everyone stares at me. "I'm going home", as I get off the couch and head to the door Gavin stops me.

"Want me to come with you?"

Usually I would say yes. But instead I said "no". He said "I understand." Then he leans down to kiss me so I can be alone. When I got home I seen my mom going through mail by the dining room table. "Have fun?" She asks while smiling and taking off her reading glasses. I stayed quiet.

"What's wrong?"

As she walks towards me, the 5 o'clock news came on. We both look at each other then look at the television. "This Is a devastating time for family members of the Henderson and Cole household. It has came to my attention, that the body of Alice Henderson, was found yesterday evening and Lauren Cole was found half dead in her backyard. Suspects have been lined up, and I will get back to you with further details of..." The television goes black.

"She's not dead?" I look at my mom with disbelief.

"Why would the cop say that she was dead if she was alive?"

I still look at her waiting for a reply. "I don't know..." She says as she puts her reading glasses back on to go to the dining table.

"Do you know something I don't know?" I walk towards her.

"Why would you say that?" She says while looking through the mail on the table. "Ok then" I say while nodding my head and begin to walk upstairs to go to my room. When I shut the door I call Gavin, and the first thing I say is "I think I'm being set up." When I explain to him what happened he got quiet.

"What if Lauren told him it was you who was there and that's why he questioned you to see if you looked suspicious."

I look up at the ceiling and close my eyes. Because the things that Gavin is mentioning is now making sense. All I can really think about now, is the person who would love to see me fall. A person who would die to see me fail because of my mistake.

...My mom.

"If I go down you guys are going down with me." I tell Gavin.

"No. It was your choice to go along with it." Gavin says without hesitation.

"When you almost got caught we all said and agreed, that if one goes down we all go down." I respond.

"I'm sorry, but I'll still help you get to the bottom of this" he said as it got quiet.

"Audrey I can't go to jail." It's still quiet.

"I can't believe you..I see I can't trust you either." I stood up so I can get ready to go in the shower to determine what I'll do.

"Audrey, come on now."

"Bye Gavin." I hang up and grab my pajamas, to head out my room to go to the bathroom. As I head out the door, I could hear whispering coming from downstairs. Only person that can be is my mom.

Since she wants to play games...I'll play too.
