Stark white walls. Constant commotion. That distinct sterile smell that every hospital has. It all makes me want to vomit.

Yes, I hate hospitals with a passion. However, I'm here on a mission to discover the truth, so for now, I need to suck it up.

Morgan and I navigate our way through the winding city hospital to the front desk in the post-ER wing. The only way we found it was because my dad is a doctor so he made an effort to teach me all the ins and outs.

"Hi, we're here to see Heather Prescott?" Morgan asks. The grumpy secretary glares at us over her glasses.

"She's talking to investigators right now, so you'll have to wait."

"How long?"

"How should I know?" The old lady throws her hands in the air and swivels her chair around so she's no facing us anymore.

Morgan and I exchange a look. "Rude much?" Morgan huffs under her breath.

I take the opportunity since no one is looking. I grab Morgan's arm. "C'mon, let's go find her."

We walk casually down the never-ending  hallway, trying to look like we know what we're doing. Thankfully, all the rooms have names of patients on them. Finally we get to a room with 'Heather Prescott' written on a whiteboard.

Morgan squeals with excitement and places her hand on the door handle.

"Wait, Morgan! The police are in there."

We look around. No people are in sight except a few nurses at the other end of the hallway. We both press our ears up against the door, and begin to hear muffled voices from the other side.

"...again, Miss. Prescott, we need you to tell us the truth about your history with Asher Cole. We can't solve this case until you tell us."

A soft, sweet voice carries through the door. "Alright fine. Please don't tell my parents, though. If they find out what happened--"

"Everything you say in here will be kept confidential to the public, which includes your parents since you're already eighteen."

"Okay, fine. Me and Asher were just friends. I know he used to like me back when me and Ryan Lynch were together, but after I rejected him he respected that. We were never anything more than friends."

"Then who was this person you were dating? Your friends Morgan Blanchett and Julia Lynch thought it was Asher."

"Well it wasn't. It was...Drew Tanner."

Morgan and I gasp and exchange looks. Drew? This could change everything.

"You mean the boy that was also on the cliff with you and Asher?"

"Yes."

"Tell us about your relationship with him."

"Well, a while after Ryan and I broke up, Drew began to pursue me. I was weak and newly heartbroken, so I gave in. It was an awful relationship though. He pressured me into doing things I didn't want to. So my story was party true, but then again, I consented. Please don't tell anyone about this. It could ruin my reputation at church and in all my organizations--"

"Again, all of this is confidential. How does Asher tie in to all of this? And what happened with Drew?"

There is a slight pause. "Um, well, I broke things off with Drew. Firstly because I didn't truly like him. I missed my old boyfriend. Also, I found out he was playing this game with his friends where they bet on who can hook up with this one girl first. So that's why I broke up with him.
