Chapter 1

   It was late at night when I started home from the library. I've been going there lately to try and become a better student. And to escape the home life god had set before me, sure I love my mom and two brothers and my moms new boyfriend was a great guy but I had always just wanted it to be my family and I, no men in the picture. Considering I'll be going to college soon. I'm 17 and I'm a junior at the local high school. Once I graduate good bye berkshire county hello Georgia. So here I am walking down this mucky sidewalk to get home as fast as I can cause it may just be me but I thought I could feel someone behind me but when I stopped no one was there. I just about to come out of the ally way when I heard someone behind me whisper "Jewels."I turned around to see a figure in the distance, I could tell it was a man from the huskiness in his voice and the shallow but rapid breaths he was taking. I stood there and back into the light where he could surly see me roll up my sleeves and take a defensive stance. I may be small but I'm not gonna let so dickhead get the best of me cause I ran away. I steadied my heart beat as much as I could but I could already feel my adrenaline fill my veins and start to pump to my external limps and brain. He slowly walked into the street light with a grin on his face. "Yes you will be perfect Jewels my hard work has paid off, you don't know how hard I've looked for the correct person to receive such an honor the others will be so happy to have you." I smile at the  middle aged man, he held his composure as I took in every single feature of him from his tangled brown mess of hair to his piercing green eyes, when he smiles you could see a single gold molar. He must of been no more then 5'8" and at least 260, he could easily over power me but one thing I'm not is a quitter. I looked him in his soulless eyes and put my fists up and he smiled and walked towards me. When he approached I swung and landed a right hook to the side of his face. I bounced around on my feet like my dad showed me he faked a jab to my gut and landed it in my face. He looked at me "Are you about finished Jewels " "Not even close scumbag!" And I round house kicked him in the gut. He quickly grabbed my leg and I fell on the ground,my head smashed the pavement and I could hear him laugh as the pounding sound inside my head eased. I got up and got back into my fighting stance, he took one look at me shook his head and sprayed me with something. I once again was on the ground I felt as tho I was paralyzed and could not move, which in fact I was. He grabbed me by the waist and hoisted me up over his shoulder and began to walk my whole body was numb I could only move my eyes I watched as the faint glow of street lights began to fade as we left the main road. I started to smell rust and sewer. I looked around and saw garbage and rats running around next thing I knew I was being thrown in the trunk of a car. I looked up at the man and he smiled deposited blankets onto my paralyzed body since it was mid October and kissed my forehead and slammed the trunk. I wish I could wipe this low life's saliva off my forehead right now. The trunk was sound proof so I could hear anything I was about to dose off when the trunk flung open and a sandwich was deposited in front of me. I had little mobility of my extremities at this point so all I could do was look at this sandwich. I was then plunged back into the darkness of the trunk and fell into my own darkness instead. I was awoken by the sounds of chains and malfunctioning machinery. I opened my eyes and could feel the cool Metal pressed against my skin. I yanked against the leather bindings that held me here and made muffled grunts as the barbed wire wrapped around my ankles took it's toll. I looked around the darkened room and saw cages and more barbed wire and whips and needles and a see through refrigerator with what looked like organs. There were multiple small lights around the room but the largest was pointed down at me. I heard shuffling coming from the hall way to my left and quickly pretended to be asleep I counted the steps of a man as he approached my table. He groaned and was walking away when my stomach rumbled and I sneezed. I mentally punched myself in the face for this, but then heard laughter as he reproached me and I was forced to open my eyes. I smiled sweetly at him and asked "sir do you think I could have some food?" He undid one of my bindings and handed me the sandwich from the car. I have never felt so empty before in my whole life I sucked that sandwich down till I was licking the crumbs off my fingers. He came over and have me some water and just watched me as I drank slowly. I took a couple sips before I realized the substance I was consuming tastes nothing like water I spit it out all over. I didn't feel weird or outta place or dizzy I was so confused. I knew what I had consumed as soon as the doctor returned with a small knife and cut my leg and I felt no pain. "Why are you doing this I haven't done anything to you I don't even know who you are!" He simply looked at me and said "It was destiny decision not mine child." I watched him as he left and I silently cried and begged for forgiveness for everything I have done. I stated blankly at the ceiling when I head the begging of a man down the hall way. When the man who took me entered he had another man on a spiked leash dragging him like a dog. I stared astonished and baffled. The man stopped resisting till he was standing over me looking down. He had dark rings around his eyes his ribs were protruding and his eyes seemed to have lost the sparkle I think they once held. I could feel a small once of something radiating off of him. The man who took me tied the the poor man to my bed and then stepped in front of us. "Jewels this is peter, peter this is Jewels ." I looked and gave a faint smile "Peter tell Jewels what I would like to be addressed by since she will be here quite some time." "He would like to be called doctor or master." Peter shakily spoke to the ground. " Great now Jewels  I'm going to tell you who Peter was and what you are going to be. Peter was once the alpha of a might pack called the dark moon pack." The doctor spoke slowly! My mouth fell open in realization of what he was telling me, werewolves are real.....and this man use to be an alpha!!!!! " I weakened him with silver and wolfsbane after an attack on his pack. I took him here and begun my life long dream of creating wolves. I have captured 5 wolves from various packs throughout the United States, 3 have died and the only wolves I have left are peter and Lucy. About a month ago I began trying to create a female alpha I have captured 12 girls and none survived the turning process but they were weak inside no spirit l, that's why your here Jewels I believe you will make my dreams come true. I know it is possible with a regular wolf hell Henry was my 5th try and he's still with us. But an alpha would be such a prize. I will introduce you to sapphire and Damon in a week or so when your better. But I want to show peter here he's wrong and you will change so were gonna do this right now." He stated. My mouth was hanging open then it hit me that he's gonna change me now!!! I started to struggle to get out but was just hurting myself worst. I looked at peter and he mouthed "sorry" to me as the doctor ordered him to change. I was staring into the eyes of a man with no hope when they changed to the eyes of a magnificent creature brought to it's breaking point. The giant black wolf approached me and sorrow flashed trough it's eyes as it rolled it's lip up to revel two silver canines. I looked confused at the doctor when he smiled "I have applied a silver coating to his canines every week since capture so when I get my alpha she will not be weakened by such a mediocre element."I closed my eyes and waged for the moment when I'd feel his hot breath against me but opened my eyes to find him just staring at me. Waiting for the bite order "bite her now" the doctor screamed and I felt the breath of this beast in my face and a small pain in my shoulder as he bit me. He let go and turned back to a human. I was feeling fine till the room begin to spin and I threw up then I passed out. I woke up once and my body was so hot I was sweating and shaking and vomiting the doctor watched me and swore under his breath and walked out as I passed out again. I was still asleep when I heard the soft tender voice of a woman along to me. I answered"hello? Who is that??" "You do not know me well young one, I am the moon goddess." "Oh my I'm so sorry goddess but may I ask why your speaking to me?" "You are one of my children now Jewels , you will not change till you are 18 but you survived because you are to do and be a great warrior and protector. You must go now and prove you are not weak and get out or you will surly parish." Her voice started to become more and more distant till I could no longer hear her. I could although hear the angry screams of the doctor "she's dead what will I do now? I thought she was the one!" Then I head loud foot steps and a slow beeping sound I opened my eyes to see a monitor attached to me measuring my heart beats. I looked around to find my eye sight was perfect, I didn't need glasses anymore. I could smell and hear almost everything it was amazing, I was smiling till I smelt him. I anticipated his arrival as I lay there completely alive. He entered the room nd looked at me and smiled and ran to me "YOUR ALIVE!!!" He screamed. He hugged me and smiled and laughed. He stopped and ran back out of the room but returned seconds later with a tray of food. I gulped every last drop of it while he stare at me. "How long was I out?" I asked. "About 3 weeks" he replied. I felt very sleepy and I lay back down and as I fell asleep I heard him say " time to meet the others tomorrow."
