Taylor was woken up the next morning by a loud purring in her ear. "Ugh what do you want Mer?" Taylor mumbled sleepily, pulling the duvet over her face as she rolled over on her side to face away from her cat. As last night's events slowly came back to her, Taylor smiled into her pillow. She'd ended up having such a lovely evening with Karlie. She reached out for her phone from under the covers, and grabbed it from off her bedside table. Sure enough, Gigi had posted the picture of her and Karlie that Taylor had jumped behind in on Twitter. Taylor shook her head; why was she such a dork?

PING! Her heart jumped as her phone lit up, and she saw she had a text from none other than Karlie Kloss herself. Taylor grinned as she read the text: "How's your head this morning little Miss Photobomber? Xx'

'I think I regret giving you my number now,' she replied.

'Meanie! I was only asking because I care! Do you wanna meet for a coffee?'

Taylor smiled. The model wasted no time.

'Well I suppose, seeing as you care so much about me' she responded. 'Meet me in an hour at Joe's?'

Karlie simply texted back with a smiley face, which Taylor took to mean as a yes. Excitedly, she threw back the covers and jumped out of bed to find an outfit to wear, startling Meredith with her sudden movement. The cat jumped off the bed and dashed out of the room. "Sorry Mer!" Taylor laughed, rummaging through her closet desperately. Today was going to be a good day.

As Taylor walked up the street towards Joe's Coffee Shop she could see Karlie waiting outside for her straight away. It was then Taylor appreciated just how tall the model really was. Standing in her long trench coat and skinny jeans, the model's slender frame made Taylor's look dwarfish in comparison. Taylor couldn't help but smile as she quickened her pace.

"Hey you," Karlie grinned, pulling Taylor into a hug as soon as she approached.

"You didn't have to wait outside in the cold silly," Taylor mumbled into Karlie's chest, breathing in her warmth and scent. She could stay outside all day just wrapped up in Karlie's embrace. She felt Karlie shrug and she chuckled.

"So did you have a nice time last night?" Karlie asked, sipping on her latte. The two girls had found a nice secluded spot at the back of the café by the window, so they couldn't be spotted and interrupted by anyone. "I guess so," Taylor shrugged, hands cupped around her own coffee. Karlie laughed. "What?" Taylor looked at the clearly amused model quizzically.

"It's just funny how you're being so casual about it today when last night you were so happy and funny." Taylor smiled shyly.

"I don't want you to get big headed that's all."

"What do you mean by that?!" Karlie cried. Then her expression changed from surprise to smugness as she took in Taylor's words properly. "I totally brightened up your evening didn't I?" Her eyes lit up as she spoke, animating her face even more so. Taylor just shook her head slowly, grinning at her friend. "I knew I shouldn't have said anything." Karlie slapped Taylor's arm lightly, laughing as she did so. Taylor laughed along with her. Karlie just seemed to have this aura of happiness radiating around her, and it was certainly contagious.

"So are you going to tell me what's been making you feel so down lately?" Karlie made Taylor jolt in her seat at the sudden change in nature of the conversation. "What? I can do deep meaningful chats as well you know," Karlie laughed, although the seriousness was evident in her bright green eyes.

"I don't know," Taylor sighed. "It's been tough for a while. I've had a lot of unwanted attention from the Media, and all the negative press is making me feel so alone in it all. It's like the whole world is against me."

"You're not alone Tay," Karlie spoke gently, reaching out and putting her hand on top of the singer's. Taylor just stared down at the table, too afraid she would start crying if she looked up into Karlie's sympathetic face.

"I just feel like I've been trapped in my own little bubble, and no one will dare to come near me. I can't remember the last time I just went out and did something fun with someone because I wanted to, not something I'm obligated to attend, like an awards ceremony."

"Well you know what you've got to do don't you", Taylor finally managed to bring herself to look back up at Karlie. "Only you are in control of your own happiness at the end of the day Taylor. You've just got to pick up the phone and start organising a trip somewhere, get some friends together. You've just got to ignore the press as much as you can, I know it's hard but you can avoid it to a certain degree. You just have to take control and do the things you want to do, rather than sitting around waiting for things to happen to you, because if you do it that way they might never happen."

"Wow," it was Taylor's turn to start laughing now. "Karlie Kloss, I never knew you had a part time job as an advice guru! Seriously that was the best advice anyone's given me so far."

"Well it's what friends do; we help each other through the hard times." Karlie squeezed Taylor's hand. Taylor squeezed back. She was so glad she'd come to meet her today.

After an hour of sipping coffee and laughter, the pair headed off back- Karlie to her home and Taylor to the hotel she was staying in before she headed back home to Nashville the next day. Karlie insisted she walk Taylor back to the hotel. "If I'd known you were in town I would have offered you a bed at mine you know," Karlie said, as they ambled down the sidewalk.

"Well considering we'd only met once at Victoria's Secret it might have been a bit strange of me to call you up and ask to stay at your house Karlie," Taylor laughed, but also feeling touched by the model's comment. She was sure the two would've had a great time together. "I know that but we just seemed to connect immediately you know, it didn't feel like that was the first time we'd met." Karlie reasoned. Taylor nodded in agreement; she'd felt the exact same way.

They reached the hotel too quickly it seemed.

"Well I had a lovely time today, despite the fact that you called me big headed," Karlie teased.

"You know I'm not taking that back right? Because it's totally true," Taylor shot back sarcastically. She loved the way Karlie could play along with her sense of humour, as the model threw her head back laughing.

"You're so cruel to me, after all that awesome advice I gave you," Karlie pouted.

"Thank you so much for listening to all that rubbish I came out with today." Taylor gave her a grateful smile.

"Don't be silly! It's perfectly normal to feel that way, it wasn't rubbish at all." Karlie wrapped her arms tightly around Taylor, and held that position for a few seconds before releasing her. "I'll see you later ok?"

"See you soon, thanks for everything."

Karlie flashed Taylor a quick smile before turning to leave. Taylor watched her walk down the street, hands in her pockets. Suddenly an idea popped into her head, causing her to immediately cry out: "Karlie!" Karlie stopped and turned round to face her.

Taylor was grinning at her as she spoke, not making any effort to hide the level of excitement in her voice: "How would you fancy taking a road trip with me?"
