It was a warm, October evening. There was a gentle breeze, and the leaves were blowing off the trees. It was beautiful. You were having a picnic with Niall, your best friend. You had known each other for about 10 years. You were messing around in the warm evening sunshine, you both stopped and just looked at each other and smiled.
'You're actually really beautiful Y/N...' He said, still looking at you.
You could feel yourself blushing.
'Naww, thanks Niall!' You say. 'You're not too bad yourself,'
You both laugh, you just messed around until sundown.
It is getting colder, so Niall wraps his arms around you as you watch the beautiful sunset.
'I had such a good time with you today,' Niall said. 'You free tomorrow?'
You laugh.
'I think so, same time, same place?' You suggest.
'Yeah!' Niall said. You pack up and walk your separate ways.
*TOMORROW*
You get to the park, and the picnic blanket is spread out looking amazing, but Niall is nowhere to be seen.
'Niall!' You called.
You felt someone come up from behind, and wrap their arms round your waist.
'Hey baby,' he said, 'I laid out the picnic for you already,' he said looking rather pleased with himself.
'It looks amazing Niall!' You said.
He lead you over to the picnic blanket and helped you down.
'I wanted to tell you this yesterday, but I am going to tell you now,' Niall said. You were a little nervous. 'I have known you for years now, and this could sound weird, and I really don't want it to ruin our friendship... You are absolutely beautiful... Will you be my girlfriend?' He asked.
You were speechless. A tear rolled down your cheek.
'I am so sorry Y/N, I should never hav-' You cut him off with a kiss. After a few seconds, you pulled away.
'Of course I will be your girlfriend,' you say, still crying.
He kissed you again, for what felt like an eternity, but Niall was the best kisser ever.
'I love you Y/N!' He shouted, everyone in the park turned to look at you both. He kissed you when everyone was looking.
'This is my new girlfriend, Y/N!' He shouted again. You went bright red.
'I obviously embarrass you? I can make it worse if you like?' he said, laughing.
'Please don't Niall,' you said, trying not to laugh.
'I love you,' he whispered in your ear.
'I love you too,' you whispered, smiling.
