The Undying Faith

Propensity and Aversion.

I got up to my ringing alarm. It's 5:30 a.m. I quickly get into the shower and freshen up. Changing into a black off shoulder dress which ended mid thigh I combed my hair and left it open to dry naturally and immediately applied some mascara and red lipstick which complimented the colour of my dress, spraying my favourite kenneth cole perfume I left my room.

I grabbed a bowl of cereal from the kitchen's cupboard and savoured everything since i was very hungry. After i finished my food I went over to Rose's room to see her all set.

" Ready so fast? " she asked.

" No I wore these clothes to clean the house. " I said sarcastically. For a moment she was silent and then we both started laughing.

" okay it's 6:40 already let's leave." I said not wanting to be late else I'll have to face him while giving the coffee.

I slipped into my red Gianvito Rossi's caged lace up sandals which Rose had purchased last year from Vince camuto as my birthday gift, wearing my favourite Betsey Johnson's Rose Gold-tone Bracelet watch and grabbing my purse I left.

I stopped the cab two blocks before Handerson Inc. Building and went to get his coffee. I checked the watch 5 minutes to 7. I quickly ran across the street not wanting to face him. Back in the building everything looked the same as yesterday. I hurriedly went up to the 20th floor and into his cabin to find it empty. Phew I had never felt better than this before. Silently I kept his cup and walked to my cabin. I got immediately engrossed in my work and didn't even realize when the time flew by.

Just then my phone buzzed. There was a msg from an unknown number.

Hey beautiful, it's lunch break already. Iam waiting for you on the ground floor. come down fast.

Surely it must be Anthony. I scrolled up the page and saw the conversation between Rosalina and him last night. I
wonder what will I say if he asks me about yesterday. It's better I should ignore. Without replying I kept the phone aside. My stomach was growling from hunger but if I went down that meant I had to face him. I just put my head down wondering why the siren didn't ring the entire day. Has he come? why didn't he call me? Is he going to fire me? All negative thoughts run through my mind.
I don't know for how long I stayed like that when I heard a knock at the door. I wonder who has come to my cabin. Anyone barely knows me.

I straightened up and meekly called.

"Please come in." The door was opened and Anthony was standing there with a wide grin on his face.

" Hey beautiful I waited for so long why you didn't you reply." why does he have to call me with those name all the time. God please help.

"umm..I was a little busy, sorry didn't see the phone." damn I felt so guilty.

" No problem Ella I thought you are ignoring me."

"oh no no sorry I never intended that." I lie

" It's okay. We still have 15 mins. care to join?" he says raising an eyebrow.

It's like iam left with no other choice but to comply. I simply nod and walk out with him only to see an astonished Rebecca staring at us. I smile at her and waved a bye while leaving .

Back at the cafeteria, we were seated at the same place like yesterday. He didn't allow me to pay for the sandwich and coffee as he insisted on being a gentleman and pay for a beautiful girl. That was really kind of him but I don't know why I didn't like it in a good way.

He sat across me and looked directly into my eyes for few seconds. I felt so nervous at the moment. I felt like running away. what has Rosalina thrown me into. I quickly glance away.
