Alice and the town had been surprised by the sight of Willis meeting with us, and fearing the worst they went to meet with his former army. The idea was obviously met with argument, given the circumstances, however it was agreed that Willis was the ringleader and the others could be argued to be decent. They guessed correctly that they would be found at the police station, and prepared to fight.
The army opened the doors, then jumped to their feet as they saw the apparent traitors. "Wait, wait, wait", Alice had to shout. "We just want to talk", she said, "What was Willis talking to Datum about?"
They sat in stunned silence.
"He was going to save the children"
