Chapter 22: Where's Jagger?

"Alex?" I heard a voice call waking me. 

"I'm trying to sleep." I replied turning over. 

"Alex?" the voice said again. 

"Leave me alone." I whined my eyes still closed. 

"Alex, you need to get up and get ready for school." The voice said. 

I opened my eyes and turned over to see Zakk staring at me. 

"What are you doing here?" I asked him knowing he shouldn't be on Ryder's land unless he wants to be killed by Ash. 

"I though I'd climb through the window, I got up early and I was bored." He said shrugging. 

"This room has a window?" I said sitting up. 

I saw the window that was partially hidden by blue curtains. It looked to be just sunrise. 

"How early is it?" I said glaring at him. 

"Uhh, I think it's 4:30am." he said. 

"You're glad I like you." I said death glaring him. 

"I KNEW YOU DID!! Know get ready, I'm bored." he said whining. 

"Fine." I said whining and getting up. 

When I had gotten ready I walked back into my bedroom with bright blue jeans, a white shirt that had 'Sleeping with Sirens' written on it. 

Zakk was playing a game on his phone. 

"Do you listen to them?" He asked not taking his eyes from the screen. 

"Who?" I asked putting on some black flats. 

"Sleeping with Sirens, they're on your shirt." He said looking up at me. 

"Nope, Cate told me I needed this shirt, so I bought it." I said looking at my shirt. 

"Come here then minion." Zakk said motioning me to sit next to him. 

He pulled out a headphone and handed it to me. I put it in my ear and heard a male voice sing,

"Why are you walking away?

Was it something I did?

Did I make a mistake cause

I'm trying to deal with the pain

I don't understand this, is this how it is?" It was awesome. 

"This is pretty awesome." I said watching him play some game on his iPhone. 

"Yep! That song is called A Trophy Father's Trophy Son." he said getting up, "I'm hungry, make me food!" 

I took the headphone out and replied with, "No, you're the one that decided to crawl through the window and wake me up." 

"Fine then… how about we wake everyone up?" Zakk said grinning and bouncing around. 

"Don't you think they might, kill you?" I asked knowing almost everyone that lives here doesn't really like him. 

"That's right… oh well!" Zakk said skipping out of the room. 

We went into Cate's room first. She was starfished in a blue room, one wall looked like it was in the process of being painted, her bed was light green and she had many random items on her floor. I realised she was wearing a dark purple one PJ jumpsuit with yellow stars on it. 

"I think she's a deep sleeper." Zakk whispered to me. 

I looked at her and noticed a slight yellow glow, I never got taught about witches. I hope Zakk didn't notice the glow. Now that I think about it, I don't know much about anything. Maybe I should try to learn. I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard a crash and a scream. 

Zakk had flipped Cate's mattress over and now she is holding him up by the neck against the wall glaring at him. 

"What are you freaking doing here?" she said venom lacing her words. 

"I got bored, crawled through Alex's window and decided to wake everyone else up." Zakk said calmly. 

Cate dropped him sighing and turning to look at me. 

"Please don't wake me up before," she glanced at her alarm clock her eyes widening, "IT'S ONLY 5AM SERIOUSLY?! Don't wake me up before 6:30am." she said growling. 

With that said and done Zakk skipped out of the room and Cate stomped into her bathroom. 

"Where to next?" Zakk asked skipping along. 

"Zakk I don't think you shouldn't be here. You need to get out before Ash kills you." Eva said yawning leaning against a doorframe. 

"Hey Eva." Zakk said waving at her. 

Eva just responded with a tired glare, "Get out of the house Zakk." 

"Seriously Zakk you should get out of the house." Cate said dressed in her school clothes walking towards us. 

"Fine!" Zakk half yelled throwing his hands up dramatically. 

He stormed down the stairs Cate followed to make sure he was out of the house. 

"I'll have to make sure to lock my window." I said to Eva. 

"Okay. I'm going back to sleep." Eva said yawning and closing her door. 

When it was finally 6:45am Eva, Cate and Dagger were downstairs. They decided to sit down and watch SpongeBob with me. After an episode or two Ryder, Ash and Jacqui came downstairs. 

"Does anyone know where Jagger is? I haven't seen him for awhile." Ryder asked walking into the room. 

"No, I'm getting worried though." Dagger said worriedly. 

"I think we all are." Cate said worry filling her eyes. 

"If he's not back by this afternoon we'll look for him." Ash said standing up. 

"I have a feeling he wanted to be left alone." Ryder said sadly. 

Ryder probably knew why Jagger wanted to be left alone, he is a mind reader after all.
